I am frenetic, placid, and contradictory.
My Self-Summary
I'm a thirty-something year old slacker in a time where slacking is
getting to be a little stale. My usual moods are curious, horny,
bored, and delirious from sleep deprivation. Not necessarily in
that order. I like new things, but have a problem giving up old
ones. I've been throwing the same yearly themed party since 1992.
I'll tell you if you ask, but know I used to be a much bigger geek
then I am now... I own hundreds of
books but they're mostly in boxes right
now. I play, to a greater or lesser extent:
clarinet,
sax,
flute,
tin whistle,
harmonica, and
bagpipes. However, I am criminally
rusty on all of them. I danced
tap for 14 years when I was younger, with a
little ballet and jazz thrown in. Once had a master class with
Savion Glover. I played Dr. Van Helsing in a play once, and now I
always cheer on the vampire hunters (screw you, Ann Rice!). It took
me five schools and 180 credits to get my RN. My associates RN.
Dammit.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm an RN here in NYC at Sloan-Kettering. I relocated from Albany
last year, and it looks like the relocation is going to stick. I
love living in the city, and not having to own a car. My alter ego
is Moe Cheezmo, announcer for a couple upstate
Roller Derby leagues.
I’m really good at
Discussing and deconstructing books and movies, or society in
general.
Skepticism.
Games.
Kink. Not worrying about things too awfully
much. Standardized tests (I didn't get through nursing school by
hard work and studying, thats for sure). Faking it (see the
previous parenthesis). Being open to new things, albeit with a
healthy dose of the aforementioned skepticism. Also being mean.
People seem to value niceness altogether too much.
The first things people usually notice about me
The blue eyes seem to be a common thread here.

The six things I could never do without
1. Books, and used book shops
2. All the junk I lug around in my bag all the time
3. Connectivity, electronic or otherwise
4. Coffee, still the best CNS stimulant around
5. It used to be road trips, now I guess it is my Metrocard. NYC,
changed me, man.
6. The freedom to bless others with my opinion
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Books, games, and movies, mainly.
Conspiracy theory if I'm
feeling paranoid. Politics if I'm feeling better. Whether there is
any difference between the two, if I'm feeling cynical. Belle and
Sebastian, if I'm feeling sinister.

I regularly misspell my own middle name.

You are looking for a bastion of
unabashed geekiness. And a
veritable font of useless information. In a good looking package,
of course...
Also, if you have unnaturally colored hair (especially blue) you
should be writing me right now.
