My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am awesome. Trust me.

And I am not a creeper ;)

But seriously, I'm pretty easy to get along with and I get along well with pretty much anybody. Try me! I may be a little shy until the ice is broken, but after it is things warm up quickly.

Here is more about me for those that want to know: I was a military (navy) kid. Lived in a few places and seen a few things. Got my psych degree from USF and been kinda blowing in the wind for the past couple of years. I have become very disillusioned with the grimeyness of the private sector so I decided to carry on the family tradition by joining the navy. I am scheduled to ship out in June 2014.

I consider myself a deep person, an old soul. Cynical yet cautiously (maybe naively) optimistic. My philosophy consists of trying to consider everyone, everywhere, forever. It is difficult to do and I often fail, but hey that's being human for ya.

Deep as I may be I am always trying to crack a joke. Like, always. If laughter really is medicine then I must be a pharmacist! (ba dum tsh!) I love to laugh and more so to make others laugh and am usually pretty good at it whether it's with or at me.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm mainly waiting to ship out for the navy. That means working out and running and stuff. But in the meantime I am working fixing computers. I might take a look at yours if you ask nicely.

Listening to 88.5 or WUSF. I also enjoy reading. It could be a (text)book, the tbt* or something online. Probably something online. I like to lurk on Fark.

And I play tennis.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening to and connecting with people
Making chili. Really just cooking in general
Making things funny
And driving. Definitely driving
The first things people usually notice about me

BOOKS: Science, politics, and philosophy. Good fiction is always nice too. Some of my favorite authors are: Dostoyevsky, Chuck Palahniuk, Bill Bryson, Kurt Vonnegut, Jared Diamond, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Thomas Friedman.

MOVIES: Comedy, Documentary, Drama, Action, Sci-Fi. Here are some select titles: Moon, Office Space, Idiocracy, Waiting, Waking Life, Dogma, Mel Brooks, Wayne's Worlds, Rushmore (and other Wes Anderson films), 28 Days/Weeks Later, Interview with the Vampire, Gladiator, old M. Night Shyamalan films, The Matrix, Garden State, etc, etc.

SHOWS: PBS News Hour, The Daily Show (Jon Stewart is one of my heroes, so is Neil DeGrasse Tyson), The Colbert Report, The Simpsons (the 90's episodes), Modern Family, SVU (yup). Futurama. Top Gear (the British version). Jeopardy. Breaking Bad. I watch sports socially, but I don't park in front of SportsCenter all day.

MUSIC: I like most music. Even country. If there is one type of music that I don't like it's pop. That and dubstep. Now I feel old. I'm mostly into indie though. A few of my favorite artists are Radiohead, Wilco, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Arcade Fire. But also: Air, Billy Joel, Bobby Womack, Bon Iver, Bright Eyes, Daft Punk, Hundred Waters, Nujabes, Phoenix, The Postal Service, The Roots, Rush, Tom Petty, A Tribe Called Quest, TV On The Radio, Vampire Weekend, 311, and many many more (not a band name... yet)...

GAMES: Mario Kart 64, Starcraft, Minesweeper. Pictionary, Scrabble, Monopoly, and I'm always down for a good game of spades. Tonk and Casino are also fun.

FOOD: Yes.

There is no such thing as a typical Friday night. Now on an ideal Friday night I would just be having a good time doing whatever wherever with whomever.
