My self-summary
Hello, I'm Ryan. I'm 25 and live in San Francisco. I've gotten really comfortable with letting people in and out of my life like a revolving door, without developing real attachments to many of them.

I'd really like to let some people stick around and actually share a meaningful, healthy relationship with them. I don't think I've let many people get to know me very intimately (romantically or otherwise). I'm trying to bridge that gap.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm spilling my guts on a dating profile, but I think the biggest obstacle with this sort of thing is an ambiguity of purpose. I think it will work out better if we're all very clear about what we want out of this site. I mean, if we just wanted to stumble around trying to figure out if our aims align we can just do that in the real world, right?

Also, sorry if that sounded a bit preachy.

Basically, I want to start off on the right foot and get the most out of the advantages of online dating.
What I’m doing with my life
I work and do personal projects when I have the time and am not exhausted.
I’m really good at
I'm an artist, though I think I prefer illustrator, for no particular reason. I'd link you to my portfolio but I feel like that would just be shameless self-promotion.

If you're really interested, message me, and I can show you some stuff. If you're an artist, EVEN BETTER. We can trade.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Film: P.T. Anderson, the Cohen Brothers, Ridley Scott, Kubrick, Paul Verhoeven, David Cronenberg, Spike Jonze and others.

Music: I know everyone says this and I admit it's totally a cop out, but I'll listen to pretty much anything.

Books: 80-90's sc-fi novels, Popular science, and lots and lots of internet articles. Really, I just read whatever my friends recommend to me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
You know, I never really thought about it until now. I don't think anyone's ever asked me this question directly. For now, I'll say: "Where will I be in a few years."

Because right now, that's a toss up.
