Your Notes
Edit your notesI am witty, imaginative, and conversational.
My Self-Summary
I'm currently trying to work my way up in the video game industry, with the intent to become a designer. I love to work creatively, and I can't stop making up new concepts and "what if?" scenarios.
I love to talk. It's both a weakness and a strength. Whenever there's a lull in a conversation, I'm that guy that says something off-the-wall to keep it going. I love to hear people's viewpoints, because I feel like if I don't challenge my own ideas they become stale. In my experience, people who don't think they care enough to have an opinion usually do, they just don't know it yet. I've had people say they're not interested in philosophy, only to go on a 10-minute rant about the meaning of life without realizing it.
I have an abrasive sense of humor. When I make a joke, my brain only runs a 'funny' check, and usually leaves the 'offensive/hurtful' check out to save time. My friends have learned that I usually don't mean it, so I managed to escape with little more than a reputation for being Captain Blunt. It's something I'm working on.
I'm opinionated. I try not to be arrogant or overbearing about it, but when I believe something I don't believe it halfway. Sit down and talk with me for five minutes and you'll know what I mean. I love to debate topics with people, because you never know who's going to give you a new perspective on something.
I like to think of myself as a 'social nerd'. I'm into nerdy things, it's true, but I try not to let that define how I act towards others. Just because I'm crazy about games and science fiction doesn't mean I can't get along with those who aren't. Still, if you ARE into those things, we probably have plenty to talk about.
Full disclosure, I'm polyamorous and I'm in an open marriage. If you're curious, my wife's profile is soapywaffles.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm living with my lovely wife and two of the coolest people on the planet. We play Rock Band and go dancing together, and generally hang around and watch stupid Youtube videos (my roommate is obsessed with keyboard cat at the moment).
I try not to take my life too seriously. I have ambitions, but really I find happiness in being able to do what I want, when I want. I'm the kind of guy that would retire early if he could afford it. I like to be laid-back, and I don't stress out about the future too much.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
The first thing that people comment on is the way I talk. Like I've said before, I'm a bit opinionated, and I also tend to use big words.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: Too many to list here. My absolute favorites are American Beauty, Enter the Dragon, Mystery Men, and Hot Fuzz. I tend to like anything that's not some artsy human-interest introspection piece.
TV: I don't watch much, but the few shows I do watch I really enjoy. I'm a fan of Dexter, The Office, Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory, Law and Order (the original, not the lame spinoff shows), The Daily Show, and Hajime no Ippo]].
Music: [Cake, Bitter:Sweet, Disturbed, The Bravery, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and a mishmash of songs from bands I've never heard of. I like every genre except country and most rap. Lately I've been on kind of an electronica kick.
Food: Sushi, Homemade burgers, and Bailey's milkshakes (you must try one, they're amazing). I'm a hardcore meat-eater; you know how you grew out of hating veggies when you were a kid? That never happened to me.

4. Access to good music
