Are you for real?

Imagine that you are a single bi woman on OKC in your late 30s. There is a man who likes to IM you. He is only on late at night say 2-4am. His profile says he makes a lot of money, that he is a romantic, he's in his late 20s, pic is a very cut torso but the head is out of the frame. When you ask him if he can post a complete pic he doesn't reply.

In theory, does this sound like a fake to you?

Yeah...

Anarchy

Seattle_Jim says in his profile that he is an anarchist.

I am fascinated with anarchy and would really like to learn more about it. So far I have only been exposed to "rational anarchy" but I know there are lots of flavors.

Most of the time I think rational anarchy is the most Pollyanna idea in the universe. ("Why yes, contrary to uncounted generations of selfishness as a successful survival trait we are all suddenly going to act in everyone's best interests rather than just our own!" And for my next act...)

But then I will have the priviledge of participating in a group or created space where I share in a created agreement. So that we agree: there is no money or no leaders or to communicate in a sacred safe way or whatever. And for that brief time it seems so right and so fuckin' OBVIOUS! And I think: "bring it, bring it on! I am ready for the revolution. Viva! Viva!"

(For a dissertation on rational anarchy in novel form read The Dispossessed by Ursula LeGuin.)
