I am a heart at peace, ninja, and sunshine.

My Self-Summary

I am a girl with a house, a dog, an elderly cat, and a large collection of vintage metal lunch boxes. What does that say about me I am not really sure.

What I do know is that if I make fun of you that means I like you. If you want to win me over just suggest going swimming at my favorite lake or a snowshoe in new and exciting spot.

I also love people who are just a little off and like that about me too. Oh and it is a plus if you own a headlamp and know what Kidrobot is all about.

In a nutshell I've got my shit together know what I like but haven't found my other half just yet. Sure he is out there and when the time is right will appear.

What I’m doing with my life

In the many hours I am not at work you can find me knitting enjoying the outdoors and my many friends. I enjoy cooking with what is fresh at the farmers' market this week. I really interested in the local food movement and try to eat things that are raised and grown near me. You'll find me at the farmers market most Saturday mornings.

Fall is my favorite time of year in NM you'll find me enjoying the smell of roasted chiles and hiking till I have to put snow shoes on. When it is warm I love to backpack my pup even has her own pack to carry in her food and water.

The older I get and the more adventure sports I've tried (kayaking, hang gliding, scuba diving, snow shoeing, alpine skiing, nordic skiing, fishing, backpacking, water skiing, hunting, kiteboarding, and a little mountain biking). I have come to the realization that I like doing things that don't have me zooming down a hill or tossed in the air at 100 mph or ending up with some sort of dead carcass. Much rather commune with nature and enjoy it than feel like I could go splat at any moment or have to clean guts.

That doesn't mean I am not willing to give something new a go, but would much rather swim with the fishes than catch and eat them.

I am a marketing manager it's a bit complicated but I enjoy going to work most days. I have my PMP extra points if you know what that is... so I am now in the project management club.

I’m really good at

Saying inappropriate things at the most opportune times. I also come up with the wackiest ideas and make them happen. Like the annual flip-flop formal progressive dinner I co-host every year we had over 70 people this year.

Being a little type A - and getting lots of things done. Snuggling! Losing just one sock. Making cobbler when there is fruit at the farmers market. At the moment peach is what I'm cookin'.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile or some odd thing I've just said.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Two of my favorite authors are John Irving and Armistead Maupin. I love to read fiction and some non-fiction not much for the biographies but I love to read about nature. My nightstand always has one or two books I am actually reading.

Faves for movies include Amalie, Little Miss Sunshine, Millions, American History X, Dancer in the Dark and so many more. I just watched 28 days later... mmm zombies and I really love the Rock as he is a horrible actor. I love TV and my DVR - House, Top Chef, Weeds, Big Love, Heroes, and my fave is Skins on BBC America liked Robin Hood on there as well.

This is soo hard Beck, The Bird and the Bee, Paul Simon, The Shins, The Weepies, British Sea Power, Dr. Dog, Peaches, Mika, and all kinds of other stuff. Even things you wouldn't think I'd like - Social D, PJ Harvey and Jurassic Five to name a few. I really enjoy D Numbers and Nosotros who are both local NM bands.

I love food! And have gone crazy and am eating meat again after 3 years of not eating any. I can eat me some sushi and love to try new things. I have even eaten camel when I was in Morocco. Green chile is like manna from the gods.

The six things I could never do without

Family, Friends, Nature, Love, Travel, and Learning and sex but that is a given.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I have found myself living both in the moment and in the distant future. Santa Fe seems to be the place for me at least for a while.

I have a long list of people, animals, and things I love they tend to monopolize my mind when I think about the present.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with friends (eating, dancing, being rowdy)... traveling for work ...enjoying a good time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I secretly really enjoy watching bad TV, reading mildly crappy books and sing along to Country music in the car. And yes I know almost all the words to Boot Scooting Boogie and the names of all the characters on Gossip Girl.

If you are horrified just get over it! I can also have an intelligent conversation about anything from politics to postmodernism.

You should message me if

You can make me smile or want to chat. I am a sucker for boys with glasses, good kissers, and witty conversation.
