I am vivacious, epicurean, and kinda drunk.

My Self-Summary

Basically just another artsy Silver Lake hipster. I'm a web designer and a music fiend with a soft spot for indie pop. I shop at Trader Joes and get my produce from the Silver Lake and Atwater farmers markets. I like hitting up shows at Spaceland or The Echo, or grabbing a beer at Pure Luck or 1739. Recently I've taken to hunting down the latest in Kogi-inspired fusion food trucks. I'm happily married but also happy to meet new people.

I'm big into cycling - riding bicycles, fixing bicycles, looking at them. I'm an urban cyclist, a bike commuter, a cyclotourist, a randonneur, and one of the Midnight Ridazz. I'm also a dyed-in-the wool retro-grouch. If you know what that even means then we should talk bikes.

I love travel - be it trekking through a jungle, wandering through a medieval castle, or getting lost in a museum - but more than anything my favorite part of travelling is enjoying the different food from regions around the world.

Other interests include backpacking, camping, and hiking, cooking, photography, swing dancing, and scooters. I'm also interested in getting into woodworking and one day I'd like to learn how to build bicycles frames.

What I’m doing with my life

I just got back from a year abroad with my wife in Japan so I'm settling back into the L.A. pace of life. Japan was good for a break from the daily grind and I spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to do with my life. I never did figure that out, but I've become at ease with that lack of knowing.

I’m really good at

cooking up a mean mac 'n cheese or grilling some tasty burgers on the barbeque, pounding out semantically correct and compliant HTML and CSS, and fixing bicycles. I'm also not afraid to jump on the microphone for karaoke or Rock Band parties.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I'm riding a bicycle.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The six things I could never do without

A bicycle, decent beer, good food, bacon, the internet and an iPod or other form of mass music storage.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

what I'm going to make for dinner, what I'm going to do for the weekend, and Newtonian physics.

On a typical Friday night I am

having a nice dinner out with the wife, sipping beers with friends at a bar or maybe trading tropical drinks at the Tiki Ti, jamming at a Rock Band party, or out riding my bike.

You should message me if

you want to get in on a potluck group I'm thinking of starting up, need someone to help you fix your bike, want to go on a ride, or need someone to teach you how to lindy hop.
