England child of the 1980's and polymath wannabe with a skeptical and anti-authoritarian
streak.
If you ever want to irritate me, just "knock on wood". How on earth does physically assaulting dead tree matter alter the probability of something good happening? It makes no sense what so ever. Also note that Friday the Thirteenth isn't unlucky. It is just another day. Don't even get me started on "lucky" rabbit's feet - YECH! Superstitions in general are just dumb.
I also have nothing good to say about astrology, anti-evolution beliefs, alien abductions, psychic abilities and alternative health/anti-vaccination beliefs. If you believe in any of those because it gives you comfort or hope, that's honestly fine with me. If you start claiming that those beliefs have evidence or reason backing them up, then you are on science's turf and have to play by science's rules.
While I am fairly liberal, I am also anti-socialist. I do not trust the government enough to hand over that much power to them. The only government fit to have is one that is under the people's control. The more authoritarian a government, the worse off the people are.
On a less serious note, I am a fan of Japanese culture, manga, technology and video games.
