Ye Olde Calendar of My Life. Care to Join Me?

Taking a break from updating. But at this point, you can probably get a pretty good idea of what I spend my days doing.

Possibly the worst memorial day weekend weather i've ever experienced. Apt hunting, burger at Peter Luger's, chillin with out of town visitors.

The Killers at MSG and then spent most of the week in Dallas. Nice and warm there. A little sad to come back to the cold & rain. But I guess it keeps the cicadas from emerging, right?

Gipsy Kings concert. Lucky Rice cocktail event (met Morimoto and Todd English). Weekend in Austin. Lady Antebellum album release party. Going to Circle for the first time .... We'll see how that goes.

Alicia Keys concert at MSG, sushi at 15 East, learned what geocaching is, chilling in the LES.

Weekend in LA. Visited friends, ate tacos, saw the beach, enjoyed warmer weather.

Pretty standard St. Patrick's day celebration. car bombs, whiskey, late night burger at Bubby's. Corned beef and cabbage tonight?

Back from HK. Up early thanks to jetlag. Work this week is going to be awful.

Good old fashioned pub crawl this weekend with out of town visitors. And then a day trip to the Catskills. Heading to HK at the end of the week.

Got Lasik/PRK this weekend. The PRK eye is still blurry. I'm considering getting an eye patch, quitting my job, and becoming a pirate.

Back in time for the snow storm. Reminds me of the time i got back from a 3 week business trip just in time for Hurricane Sandy. This week: Jetlag, friend's bday dinner, jetlag, bball game at MSG, jetlag, charity poker tournament.

Apparently no one sells swim trunks in the winter. What do you wear under a wetsuit anyway? Vacation in a week. Honolulu => Seoul => Taipei.

A little sad to see my profile update from age 30 to age 31. All downhill from here, right? Hotpot tonight.

Scuba class!

Cotto vs Trout fight at MSG, drinks at Fat Cat, whiskey at Flat Iron Room.

Just got tix to NY Phil next week. They're playing Dvorak's New World Symphony (one of my favorites).

painful week at work, getting over a cold, slept funny on my neck. everything's coming up Millhouse ... or not.

back from HK/Singapore/Detroit/Toronto just in time for the hurricane. awesome.......

Back from 3 days in Miami. Repacking and heading to HK/Singapore for a week and a half.

Trek out to brookyln to get sandwiches at Court Street Grocers. Worth the trip.

Planning my travel for the next 2 months. Right now it looks like: Boston, Detroit, Miami, Hong Kong, Singapore. I'm a little exhausted just thinking about it.

Spent the week in Dallas. Nostalgic.

Ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the first time in probably a decade. It was delicious.

Weekend in Boston. Going to have lobster rolls everyday.

The XX concert, Coldplay concert, still haven't seen Batman .... will get around to it at some point. New Jersey tonight, perhaps .... Anyone know where Piscataway is?

Joined Westside Pistol Range.

7/28 & 7/29
Dinner at Eleven Madison Park. Margaritas outside. Some overtime at the office. Dinner at Brasserie Pushkin (sister restaurant to Cafe Pushkin that I went to in Moscow a few weeks ago).

DC for the weekend ... and a slight detour to Annapolis to get crabs.

The weekend in a nutshell:
Friday: went to Yankees game
Saturday: went to pig roast & sprained an ankle
Sunday: iced my ankle and read a book and watched 2 movies
Monday: limped my way to work. still limping.

Back in town. Europe was badass. If I were to play a game of F*ck, Marry, Kill, it'd go a little like this:
F*ck: Moscow
Marry: Paris
Kill: Stockholm.

Off to Europe for 2 weeks.

This week: Lana Del Rey concert (possibly the most terrible concert I've been to in a while), BBQ from Blue Smoke, Brunch at Il Bastardo, drinks at Flatiron Lounge, a broadway show, dinner at Ai Fiori.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Moved to NYC about two years ago for a new job. Things have since settled a bit at work, so I'm trying to use the opportunity to explore NYC and meet new people.

Grew up in Texas, went to college in Boston and then worked there for a number of years. Then, I thought I'd give Texas another shot, moved back for a couple of years (not ready to move back yet or possibly ever) and decided that I wanted to relocate back to the Northeast. So, here I am.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
dragging my half-conscious body to work in the morning, promising myself that i will sleep earlier that night, and then staying up late again. it's a vicious cycle.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I turn bright red when I've been drinking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Count of Monte Cristo, The Interpreter of Maladies, The Elephant Vanishes, Oryx and Crake, The Fountainhead. Old school Haruki Murakami ... haven't had a chance to read his new stuff.

Movies: Groundhog Day, The Rock, Gran Torino, Blow, Lord of War, Pan's Labyrinth, old school Hong Kong movies. I'm also a sucker for all those Fast & Furious movies.

Music: Almost everything. Hip Hop, Pop, Trance, Country, Classical, oh and 80's music - that stuff makes me feel like a kid again. Also a big fan of live music and concerts.

Food: Sushi, burgers, steaks, food cart chicken & rice. I eat pretty much everything. I enjoy cooking, but don't find a whole lot of time to do it these days - also, cooking for one is no fun. Currently craving a cajun ribeye from the Post House.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels from TJ's
A really good cheeseburger
Google maps
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
where i'd like to ultimately end up living. i think nyc is great for now, not sure I can live here permanently - but i haven't decided yet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
most likely vegging out at home. The work weeks tend to be long nowadays, so on a Friday with nothing going on, I will be chilling at home, catching up on some tv, sleeping, and then waking up without setting an alarm. Or, i'll be out with friends for dinner/drinks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know how to ride a bike. But I'm actually going to try to learn this summer. I've already had several friends ask if they can be there to watch while I attempt to learn. It can't be that hard right? I figure I have better motor skills & balance than a 5 year old.....
