My self-summary
I've been in the city for four years (love it), live in Williamsburg, have great friends, and am really happy at my job. I'd love to meet similarly funny, bookish, nice guys.

Daily Activities include:
-- running through greenpoint
-- getting people to eat more mayonnaise
-- judging (silently and aloud)
-- actively trying not to order the hungry bear at enid's
-- listening to sonic youth's teen age riot on an endless loop
-- refusing to indulge brad goreski by following him on twitter
-- going to gwyneth paltrow for lifestyle advice
-- wondering why i never run into courtney love at dell'anima
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a research manager at a research and brand strategy firm ... basically brands hire us to talk to consumers and report back (how do we get them to eat more mayonnaise?) ... it's very fun, I'm paid to talk to people and think, which I love.

When I'm not doing that, I'm all about traveling (which I get to do often), running, movies (I've recently re-watched both Aliens in prep for Prometheus ... though I'm not a fanboy), reading (in the middle of IQ84 right now), and exploring Brooklyn bars and restaurants with friends.
I’m really good at
lately it's been navigating new cities without a hitch (take that Tokyo), throwing rambling dinner parties, making playlists, buying cardigans
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books -- I frequently re-read Play It As It Lays, The Witches of Eastwick, Less Than Zero, and Postcards from the Edge. The Accidental Tourist. I also recently read The Easter Parade and think it's one of the best.
Movies -- I think Melancholia, Martha Marcy May Marlene and Beginners, A Separation are the films of last year. I also just saw Harold and Maude for the first time ... why this long?
I'm big into Woody Allen, Pedro Almodovar, Todd Haynes, David Lynch, and Something Wild. My favorite line (from probably my favorite movie): "Wouldn't it be great if insecurity and desperation made you more attractive? If needy was a turn-on?" -- from Broadcast News
Food -- octopus, roasted red peppers, brussel sprouts, soba noodles
Music -- M83, Wild Nothing, Wild Beasts, Teengirl Fantasy, Beach Fossils, Ariel Pink. My favorite band is Sonic Youth and my favorite all-time album is My Bloody Valentine's Loveless.
TV -- 30 Rock, Mary Tyler Moore, Ab Fab, Parks and Rec, The Comeback, Daria, Arrested Development, Damages
The six things I could never do without
iphone (cliche but true)
cardigans
whatever book i'm reading
friends (also cliche, but also true)
sense of humor
club soda
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- what it would be like if i ever moved to Austin
- what it would be like to live in a loft
On a typical Friday night I am
usually out with friends, hopefully in brooklyn
