My self-summary
Finding someone you click with on ANY level I think is rare. Finding someone you click with on an intimate level is even rarer. I guess I've created a profile on here to up my chances of finding someone that I mesh really well with.

I meet women every day, but it's tricky because you can't date someone you work with (awkward!), I don't pick up women at the gym (tacky!), and I'm not a big bar/club guy (yawn!), so where do you meet women? Well...everywhere. But potentially here, too.

I'm not really a Line Guy. My approach has always been to get to know a girl and see if it develops through the course of a conversation. A friends-first approach, you might say. I guess I'd make a terrible car salesman (not too broke-up about that one). I've discovered that as we get older it gets harder to meet someone who shares similar things to you. Thus my reasoning for being on here.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a writer. I write prose, but right now I'm focused on TV and film in Film School.

I have a bartending job and do freelance marketing/PR work.

Meanwhile, I'm applying to graduate schools for a masters degree. Then I'll either go on for my doctorate in literature or creative writing, go to law school, or figure out some other way to remain in school for the rest of my life. My end-game is to teach writing and English in college, write professionally (books, short stories, TV episodes, movies, plays), and run a nonprofit focusing on supporting public schools' art programs (or lackthereof), literacy, and love of writing and creating. No kid should ever think they have to lose that childhood wonderment of creating. None. And no one should suffer through life unable to read.
I’m really good at
Sports. I've always been athletic. I get that from my mother. Great eye-hand coordination, excellent balance, and though I'm not fast I'm quick. From an early age, I've always been able to compete. I used to be a fierce competitor, but I rarely allow that side of myself out anymore. It's not pretty. LOL.
The first things people usually notice about me
People (girls especially) say I'm mysterious. I don't know what they mean. Many girls notice my hazel (color-changing) eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
In terms of entertainment, I have three words for you...

HOUSE
OF
CARDS

Wowzer it's good. It's on Netflix, check it out (see how I changed my "Five Things I Couldn't Do Without countdown?)...

Love veggie pasta with sauteed veggies (spinach, kale, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, etc) and a meat sauce made with vegan veggie patties. Topped with Romano cheese, goat cheese, and hummus. I make this all the time - it's delicious.

The Passage, Mystic River, Tale of Two Cites, The Corrections, Jennifer Egan, Ten Thousand Saints...

Breaking Bad, The Wire, FNL, Dexter, The Good Wife, Aaron Sorkin, Aaron Sorkin, Aaron Sorkin...
The six things I could never do without
1) Sunday New York Times
1A) NETFLIX
2) My feet
3) My family
4) Beets (well...maybe...I'm trying to not be able to live without them)
5) Terry Gross (going into a relationship you must realize I will love Terry Gross more than you)
6) My work
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My work. Not sure whether this is a good thing or not, but if you know an artist or loved an artist, you know this to be true: there is no time clock. It never stops. I wander around the house in a daze. I'll forget to pick up the butter at the store and come home with five random things. I'm not a ditz. It's not personal. It's just my brain is always working. Ideally, I care enough and respect your opinion enough and feel comfortable enough with you to open up and share what I'm thinking and we can talk about it together. Ideally, you're interested, too. That's really what I'm looking for. And I want you to share with me, too. What's your passion?
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–80
  • Near me
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You want to meet a good guy. However we choose to define what we are; I will respect you and look out for you and we'll hopefully have a lot of fun. I'm not a sit-at-home kind of guy. I like to be active. When I "clock-out," I'm ready to have an adventure. Let's go do something!
