I work as a programmer making cool software. I went to grad school
for philosophy, and this is where I ended up. So all those jokes
about humanities majors only getting fast food jobs: NOT TRUE
I've also been teaching philosophy for 5 or 6 years, although I'm
currently on hiatus until I have more free time to do so. You can
find my ratemyprofessor profile without much trouble (I teach at
Wayne State). You'll see that students like me, think I'm a dork,
but have not yet given me a "chili pepper". So I'm a good teacher,
but not quite hot enough for them. One person writes that "if you
have a thing for kind of dorky guys as I do, you will develop a
crush". Wow, thanks!
Another thing I do for money is perform wedding ceremonies. I was
ordained as an officiant by the Church of Spiritual Humanism. I've
done almost 10 weddings so far, and I really like being part of the
happiest day of many people's lives. If you want to hire me after
OKC works for you, just send me a message!
On Tuesdays, I bowl on a league, but I'm not very good. I think my
average is about 105.
