My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved to RVA from Portland, OR. I know like three people and have no idea where anything is. Show me all the things and be my friend.

Queer, not bi. They/them.

Hey! These are always really awkward to write, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm from Salem, MA, and have lived in Columbia, SC but have lived in Portland, OR for three years now. I play music and like other music and read books and write poetry and do some other things! I think lightning storms are awesome and love house shows, I find exquisite corpse romantic and elephants are my favorite animal. I am undefeated at bananagrams.

When I made this, I didn't realize that the username I picked would be an unchangable displayname as it's my real name...oh well.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I play in Living Rheum (and sometimes some other bands). I've been working on a couple zine projects, I'm a member of a radical, drunk book club! I'm also working on a project with some awesome folx from Toronto and RVA called The DIT (Do It Together) Phonebook. We just launched a website and a facespace thing, it's really cool! It'll be in physical form probably around the summer, check it out at!

I am actively trying to get better at wiggling my ears. Right now I have to move my eyebrows too while I do it and that looks stupid. I think I do some other things, too.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
high fives and hugs! Also, I can make some mean guac.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have funny haircuts, a curly rat tail (now a dready rat tail that curls at the end) and a beard.

Food: I'm vegetarian (11 years) and love sandwiches, burritos, pasta, I really like sauces and condiments. I sort of feel like food is just a vessel for its toppings. Avocados are great. The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Bones, skin, blood, spit, brain, sustenance.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How shit's fucked. And how some shit isn't really fucked and those things are cool. But most shit's kinda fucked.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably at a house show or something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think Jewel is awesome. I can't stand the smell of freshly cut grass. Celery makes me gag.

You're really cool! Or if you think I might be too.

You hate cops and landlords.

Also, I'm far more interested in polyamory than monogamy at the moment just so ya know.

Do not message me if you are racist, sexist, cissexist, homophobic, transphobic, classist, ablist, or just generally an asshole.

If you message me a single sentence, it better be a really good sentence.

You want to play magic cards on the floor while listening to records and eating pizza.

You're really good at healthy, open communication.

You want to go see some awesome band, event or exhibit somewhere.

I work at a movie theater and I get free movies with a +1! Let's go on free movie dates!

You want to play backgammon (or want me to teach you how to play backgammon).

In an effort to never have any life ever, I have decided to try to listen to all of my records in alphabetical order (I'm doing 12"s first, then I'll do 7"s, 9"s and 10"s/other variant sizes/shapes), come listen to a stretch with me. There's some gems in there. And some weird shit.

I like jokes. A lot. Message me jokes, please?
