I'm a new student in town and am still looking for people to spend my time with. I've described myself as "Your average computer geek with a passion for quality denim, electronic beats and good bourbon".

Currently in my first year pursuing a Ph.D in computer science. Exploring more into the world of dance music specifically progressive house these days. I'm also trying to get in to rock climbing.

I've been told that I am pretty decent at cooking (in general), building things (I've made things from furniture to my own Mau5head) and I would say I'm not a half bad DJ.

I'd like to think that the first thing people usually notice is my style. Though my wardrobe is wanting of many things I often get recognized for my choices of clothing.

To date my favorite book would have to be A Clockwork Orange, closely followed by 1984.
My favorite movies would have to be Enter The Void, Irréversible (I really enjoy all things Gaspar Noé). I can never see Zoolander enough and I also would have to add The Lord of the Rings as well.
I enjoy quite a few shows, my favorites being Mad Men, Dexter, Archer and Game of Thrones (I actually enjoy those books aswell).
So I mentioned that I have been really in to progressive house lately. My favorites now include Moiez, Dyro, Swanky Tunes and Cedric Gervais.

As far as food goes, I can never resist anything off the grill. I grew partial to a Moroccan crusted grilled Salmon this summer that has been in my mind ever since.

1. Dance music. I've come to learn that dance music is the single constant source of happiness in my life, let it never go away.
2. My Nudie jeans. Anyone who knows me knows my love for my jeans.
3. My computers/phone. I own 4 computers and just could not imagine getting anything done without one.
4. Headphones. I have professional quality headphones through which I experience my deepest passion.
5. Good bourbon. Not to say that I couldn't live without it, but that I am glad for its existence .
6. A rice cooker. Easily the best purchase I've made for my kitchen to date.

I spend a lot of my time thinking about things I could be doing other than grad school. Outside of the obvious 'getting a job in the industry' I often think about taking music more seriously and getting in to producing.
I also just spend a ton of time thinking about my research. Its sort of expected of me.

I am generally meeting up with a friends (often at my apartment) for a few drinks. Possibly moving to a bar, or a club if there is one worth going to, and hopefully having a chance to dance
