Moved to Baltimore in October 2010 from a small town in Kentucky (don't judge-wasn't born there), still figuring out la ciudad de charm. Frequent live music attendee, lover of food, dogs, attempts to be healthy, etc.

Recently accepted a job with Johns Hopkins Hospital (I'm not a doctor, I manage a small call center). Excited to start a new position/chapter in my life after two years of closely-related work. Hoping to return to school for a Master's degree in an area that allows me to travel abroad once again and expand my horizons.

Life, discovering new music, love, whiskey connoisseur, spreaking el Espanish, discovering great restaurants, swimming, scuba diving, generating body hair, consuming Taco Bell, having impeccable taste in literature and film, being lame, etc.

The Dune series (though I'm not sure how I feel about Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert taking this over), Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, The History of Love, Jitterbug Perfume, The Dark Tower Series, Boy's Life, Zeitoun, What is the What?, Everything is Illuminated, Eating Animals, Man Walks Into a Room, Running With Scissors, Wolf at the Table, Marley & Me, The Alchemist, Memoirs of a Geisha, Anne McCaffrey's dragonriders series. In elementary and middle school I pretty much read all of Michael Crichton's works and insane amounts of Star Wars/Star Trek fiction. I know. It's lame.

Film:

Le Notti di Cabiria, Dancer in the Dark, Todo Sobre Mi Madre, Habla Con Ella, Amélie, Amores Perros, Do the Right Thing, In the Mood for Love, Life of Pi, Some Like it Hot, La Vida de los Peces, La Dolce Vita, En la Cama, Beetlejuice, Star Wars (Episodes IV, V, VI, let's not discuss the prequels), Brokeback Mountain, Kill Bill, Garden State, Inception, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Crash, V for Vendetta, Rashomon, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Airplane, Mean Girls, Pan's Labyrinth, Donny Darko, etc.

Comida/Bebida:

Anything and everything except for mustard and capers/most pickled objects. Prefer Latin American cuisine, tapas, avocado, chorizo, Thai, Indian, sushi, etc. Enjoy food more than one should, and also enjoy whiskey/bourbon (Maker's) and good beer/wine. I find most any object is just a vehicle to carry ketchup into my system.

TV:

The IT Crowd is honestly one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. I actually barely watched television until I moved to Baltimore. Now I watch unhealthy amounts of Bravo (Top Chef, *cough* Housewives *cough*). I enjoy Andy Cohen and am glad he's going to be on five nights a week, don't judge. If I am watching tv it's usually something on Bravo, or House Hunters, Bourdain's No Reservations, or something along those lines.
