I am sweet, cute, and a little insane.

My Self-Summary

"butch" artfag/nerd!!! meaning i can look like a total nelly queen or pull out the good old 'academic cocktail attire' if i feel like it, which i hardly ever do, or i can play it down and just wear a t-shirt and jeans or whatever which is usually the case... visual artist, fourth generation californian, recovering vegetarian, artistic/cultural literacy is important to me, i like people who have an opinion of their own...

What I’m doing with my life

ummm... not enough?

I’m really good at

i'm a great cook, and i can cut some mean hair...

The first things people usually notice about me

i'm funky and fun and smiley, sometimes a little too smiley...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

music is the best ever, the voice of god! i love the magnetic fields, the talkingheads, david bowie, the velvet underground and nico, stereolab and broadcast, pram, komeda, who else?? these are just the first ones that come to mind, i have highly varied musical tastes...
my favourite visual artists include, hans bellmer, francis bacon, donald judd, bruce conner, marcel duchamp, eva hesse, remedios varo, ed kienholz, hieronymus bosch, paul thek, joel-peter witkin, et cetera...

The six things I could never do without

1)seeds, everything we eat comes from them, we are seeds, seeds even have bellybuttons just like us. i am a big fan of chickpeas, lentils, rice, quinoa, fenugreek, ajawain, cumin, coriander, cardamom, yeah, i make a mean curry, i tend to eat macrobiotically/ayurvedically/organically... i recently started welcoming meat back into my diet, i am kind of picky about the meat that i do eat, i haaaate the texture of chicken, but i love the texture of scallops, crab, lobster, shrimp, et cetera. i don't eat alot of red meat, but i do like venison and filet mignon...

2)i guess the twenty minutes of sunlight i get every day, i really do try and stay out of it. the farthest south my ancestry goes is french basque country, the rest is all northeastern european, i burn in the sun, baaad...

3)music, and i tend to listen to the same thing over and over, lately it's been the nancy sinatra and lee hazelwood album, my favourite song on that disc is 'sand'...

4)dance and movement, it has been said that in the spiritual sky, every word is a song and every step is a dance, this is beautiful...

5)i love that i know where all of the fruit grows! today i picked some pomegranates, yay! i love my trees...

6)i'm already at number six? if it's not obvious, i'm one of those culty god freaks, so god i guess, but that's god in only the most abstract sense of what god is, everything, like the very end of the dark side of the moon when they're singing about all that you touch and all that you see, it's beautiful, like the broadcast song 'look outside', "i look outsde and wherever i go you are there you colour in the everyday, wherever i go"...
and then there would be the magnetic fields and their song 'falling in love with the wolfboy'. "when the sky tuns to wine you embrace, and forget everything that you know"... are they reading jalaleddin rumi or something?!! my god!i feel weird even calling god 'god', and the last thing i think of is a man in a white robe with a big white beard, all those born again christians with bibles up their cunts that think that god hates fags are totally whack, to put it mildly. i once threw eggs at a man in front of a clinic who was protesting and yelled, "what the fuck do you think you eat for breakfast every morning motherfucker?! you're a man, you'll never get pregnant!" yeah that's a little nuts, but it happened quite spontaneously, so don't confuse me for a weirdo or anything. i tend to really dig the radical faerie and gay shame types and their badass "queer mutiny, not corporate unity!" attitudes.
it's true. it's only a matter of time before we see the halliburton and blackwater floats in the gay pride parades! fuck!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

my artwork...

On a typical Friday night I am

bored out of my mind...

You should message me if

you are a man with a large romanesque nose...
