My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
New(ish) to town, I'd like to meet people I resonate with, who are easy to be around, like to laugh, check out new spots or old favorites and generally enjoy life. Non-work life too...I have a pretty fun and challenging - albeit somewhat consuming at times - job. I dig it, but I also dig life outside of it. That said, if you're doing just about anything that you enjoy and feel inspired by for a living, I'm very happy to listen;)

I like a pretty good balance of serious and play, to be healthy and stay active (distance running and yoga are my standard choices but I'm hoping to have time to get back to cycling, snowboarding, swimming, etc).

I really enjoy traveling -- for work and not.

The basics -- like-mindedness is important, but challenging thinking is quite welcome -- heated arguments not so much. Most of all, I think it's important to have passion, compassion, a drive, personal compass, curiousity and respect for others -- oh, and laughter. My family regularly ends up laughing so hard we are all in tears...this, I love.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My background is in the sciences. After grad school I spent a few years at a non-profit that funded research and clinical work in cancer applications, and there my role quickly became program management and marketing...then more marketing. I ended up working for a global medical device company at one of their businesses in Helsinki in clinical marketing, and now in a broader marketing role with the same company here outside of Boston. I really enjoy my work -- the intersection of policy, science/clinical, health and wellness and business creates a lot of good challenges and I get to try to understand and tackle them with really bright people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Handstands, at least as a kid I was;) and still enjoy doing them
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - of all time - Where the Wild Things Are, the Alchemist, and any of Pema Chodran's books, Rumi, Rilke
recent favorite - Born to Run
Movies - tough. I like Indie sundance stuff and most anything based on a true story or that makes me think. Not particularly drawn to horror, action or zombie stuff, but there are always exceptions
Music - lots -- some old stuff like billy holiday, miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald, some newer jazzy stuff like amos lee, neko case, hem, arcade fire, avett brothers, then there's jimmy eat world, dashboard confessional, old 97s, iron and wine, Norah jones...
And I like a bit of country/folk -- wailing Jenny's, Johnny Cash, infamous stringdusters, emmylou harris...and many others.
And live music -- almost anything live.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Salty sea air
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What might be at the center of it all
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Unwinding over dinner and drinks with a friend -- often in (or in from) another city -- or decompressing from the week

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
We might align well, you have a penchant for witty banter and a love of good coffee and/or good wine to consume during said banter. You're open minded and enjoy living fully.
