My self-summary
I'm that dude that still believes in chivalry and karma. I will do just about anything for my friends no matter how annoyed with them I might be. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that I believe in doing the right thing, and pride myself on doing it.

I always try to keep a pretty positive outlook on things and it takes a lot for things to really get to me. I guess in the end I realize that very few things in life are of a life and death matter and the rest of the problems should be treated appropriately.

Ah and I have a cat named Freezepop. She has thumbs.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am a mechanical engineer working on battery packs for electric vehicles and the grid. It's a really interesting place to be and I am pretty happy with what I am doing. It has also given me a great chance to go to both Scotland and China for work, which I think was the best perk.
I’m really good at
I'm a big fan going out and playing a good game of soccer, being competitive. (I am somewhat competitive, where I'm not a fan of losing, but by no means will I win at all costs)

I've been snowboarding for 18ish years now. The lack of the snow this past winter was killing me.

I know this sounds weird but I love designing solutions to problems. This is the engineering side of me. Give me a very broad problem and I really enjoy the process of going through and coming up with a solution. One of my goals in life is to have a patent on something, and might actually be closer to achieving that than I ever thought possible.

Things I suck at:

Spelling. Seriously, the best invention of all time is spell check. Otherwise I'd be screwed.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm usually smiling or joking around.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
When I do get a chance I love reading stuff like Vonnegut, Klosterman, Hunter S. Thompson. The last book I read was actually all about AT&T Bell Labs and all the innovations that came out of there in the 20th century (Falling asleep yet?)

Two of my favorite movies are Snatch, and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Spinal Tap is another great one. I am down for just about any movie tho. But really... does it get much better than Wayne's World? Shwing!

TV I like to chill with the guys and watch South Park, Archer, It's Always Sunny, Californication, Eastbound and Down, Mad Men, Game of Thrones.

My iPod is a mix of just about anything. The CD that is always loaded in my car is Minus the Bear, but I'll listen to anything. From Montel Jordan (This is how we dooo it....) to Hendrix everything in between ( I actually have Shaq's album in there and love it) So really: Rock ( New / Old school ) 80s, 90s, hip hop, even Jazz. A good friend of mine is in a Jazz band that plays all over Boston, I will go to their shows about once a month.

For food it's anything. I will try just about anything you put down in front of me from squid ink pasta, to Ethiopian food, to even a scorpion or a spider. Hell why not?
The six things I could never do without
Good food, Good Beer, and Good Friends.
Iced Coffee

Spell Check. Haha this is not a joke. I can't spell to save my life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Owning my friends in fantasy baseball. (update.... getting my butt kicked)

How someone's "simple design change" usually is far from simple.

Also I find it really funny the number of girls on this site who or have pictures of their horse. Really when did it become just as common for a girl to have a horse as a dog? I guess my parents never really loved me. Hahah!

I also find it funny the way the most other guys seem to think it's okay to approach girls both here or at bars. For example: I find it funny at a club, that some guys feel it's 100% okay to approach a girl at a club and grind their crotch on a girls backside prior to even saying: "Hi, I'm xxxxx. What's your name?" Yea, so that's not me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Meeting up with friends, finding something fun to do, and just unwinding from the week
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have no shame at all. I almost never get embarrassed by anything until my mom starts telling jokes. She is a nurse so the jokes can get kinda gross.

Also I get lazy, so I shave like once a week. Well it's less about laziness and more about comfort. Razor burn sucks
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–30
  • Near me
  • For new friends, activity partners

Really, I am more looking for an actual person to spend time with on a somewhat regular basis than anything else. So if we are on the same page, this is what I am looking for in the ideal girl:

-You're willing to get in a playful argument over just about
anything.
-You have a good head on your shoulders but yet you don't take
things to serious.
-You can still laugh at something an 8th grader would laugh at.
(Example... a grad school professor decided to name a variable in
class as C(min) and kept repeating it).
-You're down to try new things

I am kinda picky about some really stupid things like most people. One thing that is somewhat important to me is that a girl has a good tooth-to-gum ratio. You laugh but really think about it yourself....

Also along the picky lines.... I do not get the new style for girls to shave off the side of their heads.

Really, what I am looking for is someone that I get excited about every time I see or talk them and who feels the same way about me. Shocking I know... right?
