My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in Texas but have since lived in Baltimore and in a small town in Vermont where I went to college. After graduating undergrad, I moved to Tulsa, OK for a teaching position and taught there for 2 years.

I love nature, sports, deep conversations, dancing, writing (poetry) and hanging out with the people I care about most: friends and family.

I'm an even-keeled guy. There is not much that will rattle me, but that doesn't mean I am not passionate. I deeply cared about my students and their success academically and socially. Moreover, I enjoy working with people. There is nothing I love more than learning people's stories and seeing how connected many of our lives are.

I have just moved to San Antonio for medical school and will be here for 4 years.

If there is one thing I need in life, it's humor. Humor is what keeps me going each day. It helps me keep perspective and appreciate the little things.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently finished teaching 2nd grade at a charter school in North Tulsa with an arts-infused vision. I had previously taught physical education and math to children ranging from pre-kindergarten to 4th grade but transitioned to a traditional classroom this year.

I am now beginning medical school in San Antonio, TX.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Typically my wit...a friend pointed out that instead of jumping forward with the "correct" way, I search for a funnier, more entertaining way to achieve the desired result.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Time to reflect and talk with others
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
1. Hanging out with friends
- could be going out dancing (trying to retain my swing dancing), playing sports in a league depending on the time of year, or just venturing out for dinner or a sense of freedom
- could be staying in having drinks with friends and just talking or watching a movie

2. Honestly, some Fridays I just need a break and recharge reading, writing, watching movies or just relaxing.
