A cat or a dog.
Lavender.
Good light white wine.
Earl Grey tea.
Community.
Good neighbors.
Good coffee.
At least a little peace and quiet in every day.

Wondering what my cats are thinking, and whether my plants are thriving. I'm fond of reminiscing about hiking the trail along the Kern River at 7,000 feet, swimming in Crystal Lake in Siskiyou County, living for a while in the beautiful village of Rishikesh in India, working near the beautiful shore of Lake Victoria, hiking on Mount Huascaran in Peru. Now my trips are northwest or southwest. I'm delighted to live in the SF Bay Area: I've lived and worked abroad from major chunks of my adult life, and I'm happiest here.

You can imagine being with me in order to: take a walk on the beach, sit around in the garden reading a good book, go to hear talented friends performing ragtime or Mozart, plan a light but scrumptious picnic at a beautiful place.
