I pride myself on being a bit random (but not in a crazy, attention-seeking, or schizophrenic way). Being active is a big part of my life - anything that will get me outside to enjoy the sun will usually put a smile on my face. I try to live a healthy lifestyle, and tend to gravitate toward friends with a similar outlook. I'm originally from the northeast (PA) and have absolutely loved living in San Diego - though I do miss a nasty thunderstorm every now and then, and the changing of leaves.

I love the sport of triathlon and the daily exercise it demands - and no, I don't shave my legs. I tutor high school and college students - I love to teach. And I love to learn - about anything and everything (within reason). I'm strong-willed and can be pretty opinionated without being judgmental. That said, I can also be judgmental - don't judge me for it.

I know I want great chemistry and a deep connection. I want passion in love & intimacy, support, trust, vulnerability, respect, and little bit of easy-going in the daily minutia. I'm looking for someone who is honest, authentic, open-minded, passionate, giving, independent, and leads a healthy/active lifestyle. Someone who can laugh at herself, admits her own faults & shortcomings and makes a contribution despite them. Someone who can be my strongest advocate and biggest supporter; someone who can offer encouragement, constructive criticism, and can strong-arm me when called for.

Finishing up a post-doc and about to start a *real* job - hallelujah! I'll be moving to SF in the near future and am ridiculously excited about it. More on this to come ;)

I know what I'm passionate about and can't wait to use my skills to make a real difference in the way we consume, conserve and produce energy. I wouldn't say I'm a tree-hugger, more of a concerned, compassionate, realist.

Food: yes please - sushi, Thai, Indian, Mexican, pretty much anything. I also love really good vegan food - oh Native Foods, when will you open a place in SD?
