I'm not too good at writing about myself, perhaps because I think a lot more about the world and other people than about myself, but here we go. I'm probably a bit odd and different, intellectual, quite creative and a bit introverted in some ways. I'd like to think I'm complex, and have a lot of different sides, being sometimes shy and sometimes extroverted, sometimes very serious and sometimes childish.

My main focus in life right now is studying philosophy, and hopefully trying to make that my career. I also play the drums as a creative outlet, along with beginning to learn guitar. In the long term I hope to be a professor of philosophy, writing and lecturing and hopefully still creating my own music on the side.

I've been playing drums for ten years so I hope I'm good at that and I spend a lot of time thinking through difficult ideas and problems so I hope my efforts haven't been totally in vain there either. I've done quite a lot of acting in the past, though I've been focusing on different things in the last four years. I'm told I'm a good listener, and good at giving advice.

I imagine people might notice that I'm quite shy to begin with, but when I get to know people that disappears.

I'm really picky and demanding when it comes to any kind of artistic expression. I love music, metal being my favourite genre, but I do listen to other genres and the most important thing is that its beautiful, but in more than just a superficial, bland way. Even the most extreme metal can be beautiful like that.

Although its hard to choose, some of my favourite artists would be Nile, Job For A Cowboy, Wolves In The Throne Room, Sunn O))), Primus, Frank Zappa, Ryan Adams and Regina Spektor.

I like films which are really special and unique, like Donnie Darko, The Royal Tenenbaums, Inglorious Basterds, Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Funny Games, C.R.A.Z.Y. and Amelie. I also love sci fi, like Star Wars and Blade Runner, and anything Studio Ghibli

I mainly read philosophy these days, but when I pick up some fiction its definitely going to be some kind of fantasy or sci-fi.

I play videogames occasionally, getting into it more again rcently. I enjoy RPGs most of all, and FPSs secondly. Used to be a massive Nintendo fan, and still definitely have a soft spot for the Legend of Zelda series.

My favourite food is probably pizza, excitingly enough (possibly due to its dependability) and my favourite drink is regular coke. Definitely regular. Diet coke seems a bit blasphemous to me. I definitely like the sentiment of eating to live rather than living to eat, though.

I don't like dancing much and would feel out of place in a nightclub, but I really like spending time with friends in slightly more relaxed settings. I'm not a big drinker, but I'm happy to drink socially and quite enjoy wine.
