Hi, I go by my middle name, which is Rory.
Looking for a meaningful relationship. Hoping to find someone smart and beautiful (*emphasis on the former). I'm currently on all the dating apps, but they're overkill. I've had very serious relationships in the past, one of which went for over five years. Despite the eventual end, the good far outweighed the bad.
I consider myself a gentleman with a big heart.
What I’m doing with my life
Investment banking for a boutique bank. Mostly healthcare & tech private placements. I also advise on mid-market M&A deals. I love it.
I’m really good at
Helping out (52 projects, 295 hours of NY Cares volunteer work!)
Relating to the other side
Finishing the job
*Getting much better at cooking, and I love it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll keep it broad: I read non-fiction (political biographies primarily), I like foreign films as well as US high-budget nonsense, love Broadway (just saw Clever Little Lies), I love all genres of music (though, I've been over-weighted in Eric Church recently), and most of all, I really enjoy trying different cuisines / restaurants (Northern Spy currently stands out).
The six things I could never do without
I used to think I could never do without NYC, but after 15 years and some significant hearing loss, perhaps I need to revisit this notion.
Scotch (at the end of a long work week without alcohol), the morning sunshine at the beach, my beloved Philadelphia Flyers, great conversations, really hot showers, and my Teddy Roosevelt-inspired alpha manliness.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I don't want to die with too much potential or too much regret.
Also, how awesome Montauk is in the winter. Great food & drinks, so peaceful, beautiful ocean & beach. It's such a good escape from NYC.
On a typical Friday night I am
I live in the East Village, so I find myself at Rockwood Music a lot. Otherwise, dinner & drinks with friends.
You should message me if
You'd like. I'm sincere & kind.
