My self-summary
As I raise my eyebrows, scratch the non-existent itch somewhere within my curly, black hair, frown in despair and shift restlessly in my seat, I look aimlessly to the ceiling (the sky… anything!?) for an idea. You see, writing a “self-summary” proves to be rather difficult... especially if all I want to do is say nice things about myself and make the reader (in this case, You) like me.

I like to talk. A good portion of my talking comes from either my tendency to ask a plethora of questions or ramblings about whatever occurrence in my delightfully mundane life. Now, don't get me wrong, I do listen. To be quite honest, I do more listening as opposed to talking… I just felt that you should maybe know that I tend to like talking.

Hmm—between compulsively rearranging the items in my room, pacing in circles until the tread on my shoes disappears and sipping coffee, I’d say that I lead a highly productive life.

Now, tell me what YOU have to say.
What I’m doing with my life
I am DePaul University graduate, who studied to become a middle school English/Language Arts teacher. Aside from pursuing this endeavor, I also minored in French and Creative Writing, while working as a Resident Advisor.

This summer, I am in the process of applying for many full-time teaching positions, while also working a rather undesirable part-time (and hopefully temporary) job.
I’m really good at
I guess I can say that I'm pretty good at catching people’s mistakes and matching my socks. I am also talented in the art of "telling it like it is" and I especially excel in "not giving a damn.” Then again, I take that back—I tend to think about things a little too much, so I can’t say I don’t care… I just care too much.
The first things people usually notice about me
Other than my charisma, my smirk-for-a-smile and my somewhat eccentric mannerisms, people usually notice my infinitely-finite knowledge of trivia and language.

Ask me for a random fact—I'm more-than-willing to dispense.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Well, isn't this a broad category... Let's see how much I can type in this section before I get bored and move on to another.

As far as books go, two of my favorites are Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk and When you are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris, but the one I love the most is Le Petit Prince, by Frenchman named Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I also do enjoy "reading" magazines like GQ and Esquire.

Three of my favorite movies include Mean Girls, Lost in Translation, and Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain... I have many more, but I can save that for a later time.

In terms of music, I listen to the Alternative, Indie, Rock and Pop genres. I also venture into classical music every now and then.

Now, last but not least—food.
I'm an "Americana" type-of-guy. Sandwiches are my thing. Aside from a good sandwich, I also love pasta with bread sticks.

Did I mention my addiction to coffee? It's not because of the caffeine (coffee actually makes me feel sleepy)... if anything, it's mostly due to the flavor and the unmistakable scent. I find it comforting. :)
The six things I could never do without
For the sake of answering the question, I'd have to say:
- Something to read
- My iPod (or some music source)
- L'internet
- Food
- Clean (well-fitting) clothes
- Something to draw/write on/with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I look like I'm thinking, it can't be good.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually, I find myself relaxing after a rather intense week. If not that, then I'm probably eating... I do like eating. And sleeping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
A (not the most) "private" thing I'm willing to admit is the fact that I don't step on the cracks in the sidewalk and my photos are in chronological order.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like guys
  • Ages 22–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, activity partners
You should message me if
Try sending a message if you liked something on my profile or if you simply want to say "Hey." :)

I’m an open book only if you’re willing to read (this means that you should maybe start a conversation if you’d like to know more about me).
