My self-summary
I'm back from my European trip to the same results as always! I guess I'll try again.

After just under 8 years in Tampa, I find myself moving to Orlando, and in a way, starting over. Raised on the not so mean streets of suburban Chicago, I spent 5 years in college in central Indiana (Go Purdue!) which ensured that I would move to Florida as soon as I could secure a job here.
The rundown:
I'm a sports nut, movie and trivia geek (my friend and I won an area trivia contest against a team of a dozen people due to the fact that I know the location of every summer Olympics since the 50s).
I'm not a beach person unless you mean going down to St Pete Beach and hanging out at a bar just off the sand. I do however like the water and try to usurp my friend's boat whenever possible (usually he comes along too).
I work in the hotel industry, but my job allows me to have more of a traditional M-F job.
I find myself going to Rays games or to Disney alone and it's starting to bother me more and more. I'd like to find someone to enjoy these things with me.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a hotel manager, which I love but also means that I'm basically on call 24/7. Thankfully my staff tends to handle most issues on their own or with a phone call.
I’m really good at
being awesome?

putting off answering essay questions?
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, I've been told that I have very intense eyes. After talking with me, hopefully my intelligence and casual sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Always a tough section.
I seem to only set aside time to read when I'm on a plane (which in itself is not often enough). I've been reading a mix of management theory, poker, and fiction books lately. Oddly enough management theory and poker have similar themes. I received a kindle just over a year ago, so I have been reading quite a bit more. I just finished Bossypants by Tina Fey,and I'm working through A Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones).
I can never pick a favorite movie. I have favorite actors and directors but I can never whittle it down to a movie or handful. The pretentious side of me can wax poetic about kurosawa films, but I'm just as likely to watch eurotrip for the hundredth time.
As for music, I'm a "everything but country and hardcore rap" kinda guy. I've seen Metallica more often then any other band/artist (no doubt is second on that list) but my radio dial is set to NPR to listen to classical.
Finally, food. I miss real Chinese food, all the stuff here is bland NYC style Cantonese crap. I find myself at Thai restaurants more often hunting down the best Tom Ka Gai in the area. And finally BBQ. Oh, sweet, sweet BBQ.
The six things I could never do without
I've had to scale back before as I was unemployed for 6 months back in 08/09 and I came to realize what few things I need to be satisfied.
1. Family (especially the support of my parents)
2. My awesome bed
3. A computer (I've had computers in my house since I was 5, technology is basically in my blood)
4. Books/kindle
5. My car (only because central Florida sucks at public transit)
6. My friends (they may be last on my list but I hold dear the small circle of friends I keep)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why is there a dead pixel on my laptop? And where do pixels go when they die?
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm in the process of figuring out what to do with my weekend time as I transitioned into a position that is mostly Monday through Friday. I'm training for some distance runs so hopefully my Fridays aren't too late so I can get my distance run in on Saturday morning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't know that there is much that is private about me. I'm an introvert working in an extroverts job but beyond that I'm pretty open.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–40
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you like awesome guys that will fully commit to their relationship. Also if you like to laugh and take trips over to Disney World, that wouldn't hurt either.
