My self-summary
I'm a tattooed, pierced, bearded guy who is too tall for his own good.
What I’m doing with my life
Working full-time. I work second shift in the press room of an aviation company. I'm also currently going to school for business management.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at writing. I write songs, short stories, you name it. I used to write articles for my school news magazine (usually political, but I don't really enjoy talking politics anymore), and I was a journalism major for awhile. I've also been told that I'm a very good public speaker. People often choose me to speak for them. I also like to think that I am a fairly decent musician.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tend to notice my height at first, but once the ice is broken, my sense of humor is what people tend to focus on. I make jokes all the time, often at my own expense. Hope that doesn't bother anyone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is a tough one...probably best to separate into categories.

Books: My favorite author is John Steinbeck. I've read his more popular books several times apiece. I wouldn't say Charles Dickens is a favorite, but Hard Times is a fantastic book, and I also have a weak spot for Faulkner. I can read some poetry. Leaves of Grass is my favorite collection, and Poe is talented, if overrated. I've read the James Bond novels a handful of times, as well as The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. I enjoy crime fiction as well as fantasy and science fiction. I absolutely love books on history. I'm kind of a history buff.

Movies: My favorite movie is The Grapes of Wrath, but I am a MASSIVE fan of the Coen brothers and Martin Scorsese. They can literally do no wrong, in my eyes. I watch Blade Runner and Inglorious Basterds at least once a year, and I love old film noir movies, as well as crime films in general. I've seen every James Bond movie at least a hundred times. I am absolutely bonkers for Star Wars. I love a good bio-pic or documentary. I'm also a big fan of superhero films. Like, biiiiiig.

Shows: I have several shows that I'll never miss an episode of. The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, Justified, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Hell on Wheels, Mad Men...I have a lot of shows that I enjoy. It kind of runs the gamut, in terms of quality. I think True Detective was one of the most well-made and well-written seasons of tv that I have ever seen, but I won't pretend like I didn't think Smallville was the bomb. So it kind of varies.

Music: My favorite musician is Bruce Springsteen. I love classic rock, folk, folk rock, blues, blues rock, hard rock, country rock, soul, southern rock, roots music in general. Seriously, just ask. I could talk about music for days.

Food: This is a silly question. I have no real favorite food. I'm equal opportunity when it comes to food.
The six things I could never do without
I'll keep this one simple:

1. My family
2. My best friends
3. Music
4. Books
5. A guitar
6. Freedom to think
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How somewhere along the line, I've developed an inability to cope with overbearing authority figures.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working until 11. Then just relaxing at home with a beer and a movie. I mean, who wants to party right after work? Craziness.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think church organ is the most frightening sound on earth.
