Technology stuff. Sciencing. Breakdancing (not intended to be a factual statement). Hugs. Listening. Bartending.
It is extraordinarily dangerous to get me into a karaoke bar. We should do this together, especially if Danger is your middle name. (Also I can't find a good one in DC.)
I have a generally young-looking face but increasingly salty salt-and-pepper hair. Should I dye it? VOTE, INTERNET: Y/N
On my good days I get this strange feeling that either Aaron Sorkin or Joss Whedon are writing my dialogue. On the bad ones, it's George Lucas. (Don't shame me, nerds. You know of what I speak.)
I LOATHE Dostoevsky. Ask me why!
I do think I haven't gotten enough exposure to "Good Literature™," and feel like I need to fix that. If you have suggestions for me, I'm always willing to listen. Let's start a book club. I am a voracious reader with somewhat limited horizons of late.
b) Honestly I don't even know where to start the movies list.
c) Muse, Doves, British Sea Power, Radiohead, etc. etc. U2, Guster, Jump Little Children, The Arcade Fire, Barenaked Ladies (yup, that's right!), Get Up Kids, Foo Fighters, Nada Surf, Green Day, Pixies, Band of Horses, Howie Day, Vale, Jimmy Eat World, Angels & Airwaves, The Airborne Toxic Event, Flickerstick, Frightened Rabbit, The Decemberists. Music is a pretty big deal to me. How did I leave Josh Ritter off this list?
d) MEXICAN. Anything spicy, really. I was more or less raised on spicy food -- even the desserts/cakes were spicy.
I also would like to note that we engineers love ordered lists like the one above.
What the hell happened to me? I used to never pay attention to sports of any kind. Then I went to ND and suddenly I am Captain NCAA. (ETA: Okay, this isn't ENTIRELY true. I was always a New York sports fan to some degree or another, but there's nothing like living in Northern Indiana for six years to make you MUCH MORE of a New Yorker than you were when you lived in New York. DC is sort of ratcheting me down.)
I don't know. I love technology and books of all kinds. Caffeine is my anti-anti-drug. My car is freedom, but I am beginning a new and exciting love affair with my bicycle.
Whether or not I've "arrived." (Signs point to yes.)
Actually, today I've found myself thinking a lot about all the people you meet in passing or just walk past on the street who could be your best friend or true love, and since you won't have any more contact with them, you'll never know. There's something weirdly tragic about that. Imagine the things humanity could accomplish if we were able to really connect with all the people in the world who were really and truly your allies. How would the dividing lines be formed?
This is straddling the line between fantasy, science fiction and sociology, but it's still interesting!
P.S. Anyone know how to get OKC not to show you people for whom your age is too high/too low, even if they're inside your age range?
I'm cuddly. Physical contact makes me happy.
Also, not interested in polyamory/polygamy. Sorry, poly peoples. I am sure you're super cool, but it ain't my bag.
I never message the same person twice without a message back. If I message you and you don't reply, you will never hear from me again. I hear too many stories about dudes harassing women on here and I think it sucks.
