Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there, my name is Jonathan. I live my life by one simple idea:
Love God, Love People. I am first a Christian. My faith is my first
priority in my life, even if I fall short every single day. All
that I do in my life is to bring honor and glory to Christ.
Secondly, I love people whether they be family, friends, or a
stranger on the street. I try to show others love through all my
words and actions.
That was definitely a bit of seriousness (is that a word?). I
always want to state first who I am and what I believe. I think
that honestly about who I am is a precursor to any type of
relationship, and finding a Christian woman is a deal-breaker for
me. I have no doubt there many other wonderful women on these sites
who are non-Christians, but I my desire is to find a woman who will
love God first and me second. I know that might sound a bit odd,
but I will always love God first. I think that the healthiest
relationships I’ve observed in my life are based on the love of
So, who am I? Recently my best friend paid me this compliment: ‘you
navigate seamlessly between fun and serious, nerd and trendsetter,
leader and follower.’ I’m generally an extremely laid back person.
The 3 things that get me most annoyed: bad drivers, inconsiderate
people in stores, clowns (they creep me out). The 3 things that
excite me beyond logical reason: When my 2 year old niece runs up
to me and wants to give me kisses, when a problem at work
inextricably fixes itself, new superhero movies. I’m a little bit
of a nerd, with the biggest indictment of said fact being that I’m
an accountant. I’m also a hopeless romantic…flowers, candy, mix CDs
(I grew up in the 90s)…I’ll even sing if you give me a chance
(often to mixed results). I’m an unabashed Monty Python and the
Holy Grail fan and can basically quote the whole movie. I speak
fluently in move quotes, so don’t get me started.
So what are you looking for, Jonathan? Kind of you to ask. Besides
the previously stated, I’m looking for a woman who’s looking for
‘amazing love.’ I can’t really describe that concept in words, but
I think those who are looking for it know what it is. I’m looking
for someone who will allow me to accept her for all her gifts and
faults. I don’t know about you, but I have plenty of them and would
be happy to share them with you.
That’s me in nutshell (cue the scene from Austin Powers). I hope to
hear from you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as an accountant during the day but see myself as a
professional golfer at night (okay, maybe I'm not that good, but I
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm also a great listener (or so I've been told). I love to listen
to people whether they're telling me about their mundane day at
work to a new musical artist they just heard. Listening is a lost
art in this world, and very often, we just need to verbalize what's
hurting us and have a shoulder to cry on.
The first things people usually notice about me

Movies - I like everything from Monty Python and the Holy Grail to
Lord of the Rings to City of Angels...I love them all.
Music - I'm a big fan of contemporary rock/Christian rock, but not
of hardcore rap (unless you consider Vanilla Ice "hardcore rap")and
really twangy country, but I can listen to almost anything. Some of
my favorites are Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Goo Goo Dolls, 3
Doors Down, The Fray, Linkin Park, Third Eye Blind, Bon Jovi, and
Books - The classics - Tale of Two Cities, Scarlet Letter, Les
Miserables, MacBeth. I also have a strange fascination with zombie
books. I just read a book called World War Z which is a collection
of accounts of the "zombie apocalypse" as told by the survivors.
It's a little unnerving how accurately the author portrays
responses by different governments, but it's also well written and
Food - Bacon...
Also: American, Italian, Mexican, Steak (yes, I consider Steak its
own food group). But mostly bacon.

random stuff. My friends think I'm a little nuts sometimes (it's
all planned though of course). I tend to ask questions like..."if
you were going to make a ball out of string, would you use a long
or short string?" Sometimes I wish I were a guitar...so I try to
make guitar sounds. Yeah, I'm definitely a little nuts, but being
sane just isn't as fun.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out to the movies, watching movies at home, in the park reading a
book when it's warm enough, walking by the river.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Sometimes I tear up during really sad or moving parts of movies.
I'm a guy, not a robot.
