A little about myself...

First, my name is Jonathan and I live to bring glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My God and King will always come first in my life, and only through his love am I able to be successful in life.

I am a hard working, goal oriented man. I love my job working as an accountant and would love working for the Department of Defense. I love to make people laugh with my dry and witty sense of humor. As much as I enjoy a good laugh, I also enjoy having a deep spiritual or emotional conversation. I love to listen to others and laugh or cry with them, and I care very much about their feelings.

When I am with someone special, I enjoy being romantic and loving. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart, and doing little things to make her feel special. I enjoy public displays of affection (as they're calling them these days) and enjoy just holding hands or walking arm in arm. Nothing makes me happier than to see an older couple who have been married for many years still showing each other this type of love, and I hope to be a part of that type of relationship. I love to just cuddle up together on the couch for a good movie, or spending a fun night out on the town.

I believe that relationships are built on a strong emotional/spiritual attraction based on mutual faith in Christ. Before two people can love each other fully, they must love as Christ loved us. Love is more than a warm fuzzy feeling that we get around that special person. Love is joy, love is pain, love is putting the wants and needs of another above our own. Real love, means that sometimes we give up our happiness for the happiness of another and that we take joy in that, just as Christ gave up his life so that we could live.

I work as an accountant during the day but see myself as a professional golfer at night (okay, maybe I'm not that good, but I try).

I'm also a great listener (or so I've been told). I love to listen to people whether they're telling me about their mundane day at work to a new musical artist they just heard. Listening is a lost art in this world, and very often, we just need to verbalize what's hurting us and have a shoulder to cry on.

My sense of humor...I laugh at just about anything.

Movies - I like everything from Monty Python and the Holy Grail to Lord of the Rings to City of Angels...I love them all.

Music - I'm a big fan of contemporary rock/Christian rock, but not of hardcore rap (unless you consider Vanilla Ice "hardcore rap")and really twangy country, but I can listen to almost anything. Some of my favorites are Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Goo Goo Dolls, 3 Doors Down, The Fray, Linkin Park, Third Eye Blind, Bon Jovi, and Lady Antebellum.

Books - The classics - Tale of Two Cities, Scarlet Letter, Les Miserables, MacBeth. I also have a strange fascination with zombie books. I just read a book called World War Z which is a collection of accounts of the "zombie apocalypse" as told by the survivors. It's a little unnerving how accurately the author portrays responses by different governments, but it's also well written and very enthralling.

Food - American, Italian, Mexican, Steak (yes, I consider Steak its own food group)

random stuff. My friends think I'm a little nuts sometimes (it's all planned though of course). I tend to ask questions like..."if you were going to make a ball out of string, would you use a long or short string?" Sometimes I wish I were a guitar...so I try to make guitar sounds. Yeah, I'm definitely a little nuts, but being sane just isn't as fun.

out to the movies, watching movies at home, in the park reading a book when it's warm enough, walking by the river.

Sometimes I tear up during really sad or moving parts of movies. I'm a guy, not a robot.

I'm what you're looking for in a Godly man or just friend. I love to meet new people in either sense.
