I'm 30, fit, intelligent and witty (to some). I am the type of person who is always planning the next outdoor adventure. My interests include hiking, backpacking, climbing, and I'm trying to get into adventure racing. I am always willing to explore new adventures any chance I get, but wouldn't mind a partner to follow me down the rabbit hole. The outdoors and fitness are big parts of my life and are huge daily motivators for me.

I work in the telecommunications industry, but long-term want to go into business for myself. I have a somewhat nerdy passion for electrical engineering and design.

Scrambling through hill and valley seemingly on end. I am a great reader of people and situations. I tend to be very intuitive.

Most people notice my quirky, dry sense of humor. I often employ my twist on deadpan.

Books:

Omon Ra, anything by Louis De Bernieres, history, biography, etc. Currently reading a piece of non-fiction called "American Buffalo". I used to be really into academic stuff for fun, but I gave up on that when I realized that nobody (even in the academic world) wanted to talk to me about the subject.

Movies: I don't really watch a lot of movies, but I enjoy Coen Brothers and Wes Anderson films. I have been getting into Swedish art house movies in the last year. There Will Be Blood is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. The soundtrack is so grating that I almost walked out. Not to mention that it featured one of my favorite pieces of music, Brahms' Violin Concerto in D.

Music: I tend to be the type that might enjoy whatever is playing on KEXP (Devotchka, Stellastarr*, Ambulance LTD, Metric, Broken Social Scene), but I have my own eclectic music taste that may not be reflected on that station very often. If it is live, then I am probably thrilled by it unless it is as bad live as it is on record.

Food: Thai and Indian food are my bread and butter (I guess they are my indulgence really). I believe in a hearty salad every night unless I have plans. Vegetables make me feel happy.

A good book, my backpacking boots, a hill to climb, this city, facebook and sleep.

Recovering from the work week, going out with friends or planning the next day's adventure.

The sunlight might make me paranoid.

You want to meet someone who is passionate about the outdoors and outdoor sports or if you want to get into those activities. I like to be challenged and often find myself bored because I don't have someone who wants to play with me on that level . I do want to meet people to date even if it is not going anywhere romantically or physically, but I am also looking for that intermediary good time or just some healthy fooling around. Yeah.
