After six years of reading analytic philosophy, I'm just beginning
to fall in love with fiction again. I love classical novels about
the human condition, old school fantasy and the more contemporary
urban variety, and hard science fiction. I also love non-fiction
books about anything, though lately my preferences run to
neuroscience and physics. I also love comics, and devour graphic
novels at a ridiculous rate, though I'm a few years behind.
I've watched a lot of movies, but if I had to pick a favourite, I'd
have to go with Singing in the Rain. It never gets old. Past that,
I like movies that make me feel real feelings, like Up or The Royal
Tenenbaums, and movies that mess with my head, like V for Vendetta,
Videodrome or Wristcutters.
I don't watch a lot of television, but I really enjoyed Babylon 5
and the West Wing. My favourite show is still probably Bill Nye the
Science Guy, though.
Music...I follow a lot of Youtube artists like Nice Peter and
George Watsky, because I love getting to know the person as well as
the music. My tastes are eclectic, from everything from hip-hop, to
metal, to classical. It mostly depends on my mood.
