My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm back in Germany after a month home -- I'm up for good conversation, preferably over a beer or a tasty meal!

I've realized that my profile is a bit out of date, and, more important, blah. So, it's getting changed.

I'm an American living in Germany, and I'm into my eighth year of a planned three-year sojourn, so you can see that my planning skills aren't the best. It's been a fun ride, though I am glad I no longer have to explain to every cretin with a grudge that, no, I did not vote for George Bush and, no, I don't support the war in Iraq. Now I get smiles and high-fives for Obama-dom!

When I'm not basking in the foreign adoration of the Pres, I spend a bit of time on the weekends cooking (weekdays are too busy!), going to the gym to work off said cooking, playing sports, going out with friends -- the usual.

The old stuff:
I'm an easy-going, fun-loving guy. I love to travel, meet new people, eat good food, play sports/exercise, read and spend time with my friends. I have a great sense of humor, i can be sarcastic at times, witty at others. I love movies and music, and my ideal night is one spent with good friends laughing and hanging out. I love to cook -- thai, mexican, indian, italian -- almost anything.

I am snarky, vaguely literate, and athletigent.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spent the last few years inventing the iPhone*, playing soccer under the pseudonym Lionel Messi**, and writing in my blog, In my free time, I'm a statistician for a bank. But not the kind of statistician responsible for the financial meltdown -- I'm more the fun, dashing, ethical type.

I moved to Germany five(!) years ago and I'm indulging my love of travel and culture while trying to learn a new language. I'm also teaching Germans to jaywalk and improving the English-language sexual innuendos of my colleagues.

* Ok, this isn't true
** Nor this -- but the rest is!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making my friends laugh, sleeping (I can sleep through anything!), and asking random questions.

Friends, family, good food, good beer, books and hot showers!

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with friends at a bar or club, decompressing at home, or traveling.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
