I'm a very shy person, but when a person gets to know me they will find that I love to tell jokes and make people laugh. I like to have fun and am looking for someone that I can have a good time with even in casual settings. Whether that's just sitting around and talking, watching a movie, listening to music, or playing video games.

I am a graduate student in physics at Northwestern University and looking to eventually get a Ph.D. Because of this, I can be a bit technical and intellectual when I talk because I like to be succinct. Sometimes I just do it to be funny. I have a really weird sense of humor that is purely conversational.

I'm a very laid back person. I'm very flexible and so I don't really get angry very often. I like to help people when they have problems and I'm usually pretty courteous. I like to be romantic, but when I'm shy I have trouble.

I just graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in physics. Now I'm a graduate student in physics at Northwestern University looking to get a Ph.D.

I'm good at telling jokes and stories, doing math (exciting right?), and playing video games. I like to try new things and I'm a really quick learner so pretty much nothing is off the table. I'm also a percussionist, though I haven't been on any kind of drums for a while now.

People usually assume I'm much older than I really am when they first look at me. I really am 26. This can put some people off, but those that do get to know me find that I'm a really warm person and that those that judge me solely from this aspect of my looks are complete idiots.

My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut, I love science fiction. My favorite book by him is Cat's Cradle. My other favorite books are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Fahrenheit 451, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, and the entire Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

Favorite TV shows: Scrubs, Futurama, The Simpsons, The Daily Show, The Venture Bros., Dr. Who, The X-Files, and The Colbert Report. I don't really watch a lot of TV. I do love watching football though.

My favorite food is a strawberry.

Favorite music: DEVO, Guided by Voices, Talking Heads, Gastr del Sol, My Bloody Valentine, Aphex Twin, Gary Numen, Tortoise, Stereolab, Mice Parade, Beck, Morphine, Yo La Tango, The Notwist, The Advantage, Moondog, Windsor for the Derby, Can, Air, Animal Collective, A Silver Mt. Zion, Califone, Four Tet, The Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros, Sonic Youth, DJ Shadow, Colleen, Radiohead, Fog, Quasi, Rachel's, Dirty Three, Joy Division.

Why not favorite video games while we're at it: Guitar Hero/Rock Band, Final Fantasy 6, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger. Actually, I like just about all kinds of video games.

I'm a big geek so be prepared for that. On top of all this, you might end up talking to me and finding out I love something you do that I haven't remembered, you just never know. I only put the upper echelon of everything I like here.

Anything. I can get extremely philosophical for a physicist.

I suppose that's a bit vague. How about anything from politics to math to philosophy to whatever you're thinking about now. That was pretty damn pretentious...

I like to hang out with friends. Either sit around and watch TV or play video games, or go out to the bars or a party. Big parties are not really my thing, but smaller ones can be fun.
