I look younger than my age and am young at heart. My three grown children and I have a great relationship, but we all are very independent and come together mostly for fun and sometimes during a family emergency.

It is difficult for me to write about myself. I express myself much better in personal conversation. I am more of a listener than a talker, and because my friends have become used to my good listening skills, I sometimes don't have the opportunity to express myself with them. I really appreciate it when someone actively listens to me and asks pertinent questions to show their interest.

A long time friend tells me that I am a very private person. I feel that I am willing to answer any question put to me by someone with a genuine interest in hearing the answer.

I have an adventurous spirit and love to try new things. I read a lot, which helps rein in my drive for travel. At present my income is limited, so [traveling to other countries and immersing myself in their cultures] is more easily accomplished in books. Besides, I would prefer to share such experiences with a partner/best friend.

I am not as physically active as I would like to be, because I am totally blind except for some small amount of light perception in one eye. Thus, I am heavier than I would like and would be delighted to have a guy to hang out with who likes to walk, hike, bike or dance. There are other types of excercise/recreation I haven't tried, and I will try most things at least once.

I have a sensual nature and am very physically affectionate. I believe that sex can be a form of communication between two loving people, as well as being a lot of fun.

I am not religious, but have a spiritual belief system which works for me. I value personal growth over personal style, and believe there is a lesson to be learned from every experience. My life is abundant in many areas, and I am hoping that the Universal Spirit will use OKC as the vehicle which will provide me with a man with whom to share life's experiences in a mature and thoughtful manner, and with great joy.

I retired from a social work position three years ago, and now that I am rested and rejuvinated, I am trying to decide what to do next.

Meanwhile, I have concentrated on becoming more creative and branching out in my homemaking skills. I made a quilt for my bed, have become a much more creative cook, and have attempted to grow some herbs and vegetables. (the weather here has not been conducive to harvesting much.) I don't much like the winters here, so am contemplating the possibility of travel.

Assisting people to solve problems. I am very insightful and tend to see a situation from more than one perspective. I am also a very good kisser.

My smile, my confidence/competence, certain larger than average physical attributes. Most people seem to feel very comfortable around me. Often people who barely know me feel free to tell me their life stories.

[I read a lot] of fiction -- mystery, suspense, science fiction, historical fiction. I read nonfiction when I run across something I have an interest in, memoirs, how-tos, travel, other. [I like many movies, but am drawn more to drama because I find much of the comedy stupid or boring. I especially like Legend of Nineteen-hundred,] The Fisher King, Crash, Magnolia, One Night At McKool's, A Fish Called Wanda, and The Power Of One. I love all kinds of food, but I have a special weakness for ice cream. [I love to cook,] and particularly enjoy ethnic foods. Because there is no Indian restaurant near me, I learned how to cook a mean authentic chicken curry. I have very eclectic tastes in music, but [my favorite is blues, which I like to sing.]
