I'm originally from Boston and NYC and love the east coast. I am very laid back and open to pretty much anything. I have accomplished a great deal in my life but there is always room for more. I have been a bar owner in NYC, run a radio station and been a dj, lived in vermont while working for a ski resort, wrote and held cue cards for SNL/Letterman/Conan/Carson and more, won an award for DVD production for a Rod Stewart DVD, driven across country twice; once by myself, i used to own the most lovable italian greyhound named larry. I like books, music, art and tattoos,
I'd love to find someone who is similar to me. Not a mirror image but someone who at least has some idea of what i am talking about when i talk about the things i like and am into. I don't want to always be the "different guy with the tattoos" who's pretty cool cuz he likes "all that weird stuff".

I work pretty hard for a start up as a network admin building the network backbone for the company. Outside of work I like mountain biking, road biking, snowboarding, reading in the park, wasting time on reddit, seeing bands, going to book stores, hanging with friends.

Things that don't interest me are facebook, burning man, religion, the current state of American conservatism, and jam bands. also Steely Dan. If Steely Dan comes on the stereo I get nauseous and seriously have to leave the room. Or jump out of the moving car.

Trivia. Nobody will play trivial pursuit with me...

I've been told i smile a lot.

Books: I read an insane amount. Usually 2-3 books at a time. Favorite authors are Haruki Murakami, Cormac McCarthy, Michael Chabon, Gary Shteyngart, Martin Amis, Denis Johnson.

Movies: I like stuff by Tarantino, Terence Malik, Wes Anderson, Guillermo Del Toro, Peter Jackson and others. Best movie ever? Dark Crystal. Amazing.

Shows: i like art shows at small galleries, punk rock shows at small clubs, hip hop shows and sometimes bigger concerts at large venues. i saw an improv puppet show last year done by Brian Henson, Jim Henson's son. It was hilarious and absolutely awesome.

Music: I am a huge music nerd. i listen to everything from twee pop to speed thrash.

Food: I love checking out new restaurants. I can cook pretty ok too.

My family. My parents are awesome and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
My friends. I've been lucky to have met and still meet the best and most interesting people and call them friends.
Music. I can not live without it. I like having a soundtrack to my life.
Bikes. I ride a lot. Early morning rides to the beach or weekend rides up north.
Snowboarding. Standing at the top of a mountain staring at a huge open field of powder and trees and then bombing it as fast as possible is pretty amazing.
Books. I read constantly. my worst fear is being trapped somewhere with no reading material.

With snowboard season just around the corner i will be heading up to Tahoe most friday nights.
