I am an entertainer, curious, and a good friend.
My Self-Summary
I like to think of myself as a pretty decent guy, I've had this
claim backed up by most of my friends. They're pretty blunt, so I
doubt they'd sugar coat anything for my benefit.
While, I'm not opposed to things getting more serious if they work
out that way, for now, I'm looking for new people to meet,
introduce me to new things, and hang out with.
What I’m doing with my life
I've decided to re-invent myself to an extent. You know how you
need to defragment a hard drive to just organize stuff and see how
much free space you have? If you don't...then I guess you should, a
google search can show you how. PC maintenance advice aside, I'm
looking at my life and seeing all this potential free space, so I'm
filling it with learning as much as I can about a variety of
different subjects.
Brief list of my new studies:
-American Sign Language
-Biographies (especially comedian biographies)
-Martial Arts (please note: I am a lover, not a fighter. But I am
also a fighter, so don't get any ideas.)
I’m really good at
-Cooking
-Trivia
-Finding movies and games that people would like.
-Writing
-Conversation
-Grammar
-Bullet Points
The first things people usually notice about me
First and foremost, my height. I'm tall, 6'4'', at first I was kind
of embarrassed about how tall I am, and then I started seeing the
benefits instead of the burdens. Yeah you heard it here first short
people, tall people get self-conscious about their height
too.
Random things I've gotten compliments on:
-My calves, my hands, and how I talk to people.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, I'm a pretty big zombie fan, so
the Max Brooks Zombie Survial Guide and World War Z, as well as the
Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, and just finished the Forrest
Griffin book, as well as the Steve Martin autobiography, which I
was honestly a little disappointed in. I'm looking for new stuff to
read since I've almost gone through my library so if you have any
suggestions pass them along. Please don't have the fact that I'm
about to read "The 50th Law." (50 Cent's guide to power, business
and fearlessness) on your conscience, suggest something soon.
Movies: I have too many to name, but recently I've enjoyed the
Hangover, Pineapple Express, Watchmen, District 9. I'm also a fan
of superhero movies, so I'll give any of those a shot. Kevin Smith,
Tarintino, and Stephen Chow movies I know I'll enjoy as well. As
mentioned before, I like Zombie movies, although I feel lately
they've started to jump the shark as a cultural phenomenon.
Music: They say everyone discovers the Beatles at some point, and
I've just started seeing what the big deal was. I'm a big fan of
80's and 90's music, and will at least try to see the good in any
genre, even though I don't particularly like it.
Some of the more alternative people and groups I listen to are:
Aphex Twin, Cex, Jesse Dangerously, Powerglove, MC Frontalot, and
Flashbulb.
Food: Oh food, I can't play favorites, I love all of you equally.
The six things I could never do without
My phone, sleep, silence, friends, corrective lenses, the various
gadgets I keep on my person all the time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Alternate realities, responsibilities, alternate careers, I find
myself daydreaming alot...much to the chagrin of my
employers.
I have friends all over the US, so I am always thinking of
traveling to see them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Could be anything, I HATE seeing movies on weekend nights though,
so probably not that. I'm equally comfortable seeing friends, being
out, or staying inside.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Growing up I wanted more than anything to be a stand up comedian,
years passed and other goals got in the way. Its still something
I'd love to try someday.
Bonus private thing: I used to shun tattoos, but then my stance
relaxed and I got one, now I can't wait to get more.
