My self-summary
First of all, I think it's important to say that I don't have nearly as many cats as my pictures suggest. I have two. But I foster cats occasionally, so several have filtered through my life. And they're super cute, so I take pictures with them. :)
What I’m doing with my life
I left a fantastic job at a fantastic company to go back to school. I finished my first degree a few years ago, but switching fields means oodles of work. Nonetheless, I love love love my program (psychology, clinical aspirations), and feel incredibly lucky that I have the space and capacity to do what I'm doing.
I’m really good at
Talking to people, making animals happy, baking, laughing, high-fives. I like to think I'm better at poker than I really am. I'm also an excellent procrastinator, and can play a mean game of Settlers.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love Kurt Vonnegut. Mother Night and Breakfast of Champions in particular. But really, anything he writes, I love. I also like a lot of Margaret Atwood and Timothy Findley.

I watch an embarrassing number of movies. I love Wes Anderson, especially the Royal Tenenbaums.

As for music, it's hard to make a coherent list. I like nu jazz, acid jazz, downtempo, trip hop, folk, indie, and lots in between.

I try reeaaaally hard to be vegan. But I'm quickly learning that the student life and veganism are tough to live together. Vegan or vegetarian, I love love love food of all kinds. I'm also moderately obsessed with baking chocolate things.
