My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Equal parts sass and bourbon.

Reader, thinker, lifelong learner, cake baker, cat kisser, espresso drinker, bike rider, comedy nerd, regular nerd, and aspiring philosopher (not really).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I get paid to be curious, and to help other people be curious. It's great, and I'm incredibly happy to be doing it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking to people, making animals happy, baking, laughing, high-fives. I like to think I'm better at poker than I really am. I'm also an excellent procrastinator, and can play a mean game of Settlers.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Kurt Vonnegut is consistently my answer to the standard "if you could X with anyone in history, who would it be" question. As long as X = something good, the answer is Kurt Vonnegut. Margaret Atwood and Timothy Findley are pretty neat too.

Movies/TV: I loooove Wes Anderson, Baz Luhrmann, and Scorsese. I (very) strongly dislike James Cameron. (Yes, even Terminator 2.) I also love good documentaries, about things that are terrifying or amazing or both. Anything by Errol Morris makes that list.

As for music, it's hard to make a coherent list. I like nu/acid jazz, hip hop, classical, downtempo, folk, indie, and lots in between. Radiohead holds a very, very special place in my heart.

I don't eat food that isn't food, and I don't like eating anything with a face. I could eat at Fresh (restaurant in Toronto) every. single. day. and be thrilled about it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
animals (especially my two cats)
podcasts (Pete Holmes, I love you.)
yoga mat
a reason to laugh
my bike
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why people do the things they do. But that makes me sound more profound than I am. I just like thinking about (and talking about, and reading about) human behaviour and cognition.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinks with friends or a good documentary. Or both.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
INFJ. Also, I spend more time at /r/aww than is socially acceptable.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're pro-feminism and pro-Arrested Development.

You have a podcast to recommend, or you listen to Very Bad Wizards and want to talk about it. (I always want to talk about it.)

You would never send a message like "hey you into couples" to a stranger on the internet.
