My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am absurd, irreverent, and cuddly.

I find the positive in every circumstance, having learned that temporary setbacks provide unique opportunities for growth. It helps that I have an offbeat sense of humor and tend to be pretty laid-back. I enjoy the process of discovery, learning from others' experiences, and challenging my own ideas. I’m also a believer in living for and finding the beauty in this present moment and making the most of what we have before us, embracing the process of becoming.

My interests/activities include: performing/teaching long form improv, dancing (contact, butoh & modern), going to performances of pretty much anything, art (appreciation and some dabbling), yoga, meditation, movies, absurdity.

I’m hoping to meet someone engaging, quick-to-laugh, introspective, inquisitive, who revels in mutual self-discovery, enjoys checking out new music/dance/theater and getting out of town now and again. Must be open to a diversity of opinion and recognize that we’re all works in progress. Someone who’d be cool watching embarrassing home movies, skipping rocks, snorkeling in the Caribbean, playing in the rain,…

Whatever relationship evolves, it's important to me that both individuals feel validated and encouraged to freely share their passions, fears and aspirations.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just embarked on a new career, teaching high school English in Fairfax County.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding the best in people, forgiving (myself and others), listening, improvising, drawing, embracing the moment, intimacy, managing stress & laughing out loud.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My glasses, my variety of facial expressions, dimples, loud laugh, broad range of trivial knowledge, the inability to speak in complete sentences.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Improv, used bookstores, unconditional friendships, my Timbuk2 bag and self worth.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lately it's been Zen and how to find more ways of incorporating improvisation into my life beyond just performing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe hanging with friends, reading a book, watching a movie, performing/watching improv or going to a performance of some sort.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a pretty open person, so it's hard for me to think of something that I wouldn't tell someone if asked or if it came up in conversation.

That said, I've got plenty of embarrassing stories that are favorites of friends and family members.
