I'm a single mother of a wonderful daughter who I cannot believe will be 18 in less than a month; and although I'm happy to do my own thing it would be REALLY be nice to have the company of a male. It would be great to meet someone who like myself, is good natured, open and has a very good sense of humour. I need a man who is both 'emotionally and physically' available. (simply put; don't advertise if you're not willing to invest!!) Intimacy is very important in a fulfilling relationship so a healthy sex drive is a must ;)

(BTW I kinda think the personality assessment on here is just a tad whacked! lol, oh well...) This should give you an idea of what I'm like....I laugh sometimes at the 'wrong time'; perhaps my way of handling difficult or stressful situations??? But it got me into the 'push-up position' more than just a few times when I was in the military... :) I'm attracted to someone who like me has a positive outlook and is always 'curious'. I love learning new stuff.

Books: not much of a reader - but I do like James Herriot, anything to do with medicine/medical research, Gary Larson (I guess there's not much reading in a Gary Larson book!), Dr. Robert Schueller, Jann Arden, Billy Graham.
Movies: Gladiator, Rain Man, Bridesmaids, Megamind, Airplane, Beaches, old B&W movies, (mostly comedic ones). I LOVE Jerry Lewis, Leslie Neilsen and Christopher Plummer.
Food: I find it fun to try different foods from other countries; ummm....I especially like making curried chicken, shrimp, steak, or even just to have a hotdog and a beer! (Easy to please really).
Music: mostly 80's stuff, but also music from the 30s/40s (yeah, really!) or anything with a good beat. Favorites include Def Leopard, Journey, Faber Drive, Bob Seger, Maroon 5, Burton Cummings, Gordon Lightfoot, Andrea Bocelli, Enigma, Toto, Gotye, Enya,....even a 'bit' of country.

I know it isn't easy to write about yourself, but dammit, try!?!?!? Hey - love isn't just for the young'ns; I've loved and lost love, and yet my positivite outlook, humour and fiery spirit keep me ignited/looking for that one certain guy who deserves respect and a loving, giving partner to share life with, and all its ups and downs. (what's that expression; may all your ups and downs be in bed??)

I haven't done the 'bar thing' for so long I can't even remember. And I've been so accustomed to working weekends, Friday/Saturday doesn't have much significance to me.
