I have spent most of my life In the Rockies and never thought I would be able to stay away from the mountains. But after getting to know the Bay Area and all (well, not all yet) of its wonderful geographical and cultural diversity, I wonder if I could ever pull myself away. Well, I probably could. But SF is a pretty great departure point for taking off to see the rest of this awesome planet we live on.
Living here has turned me into a bona fide trail runner. I know I will never lose an appreciation for the fact that within 10 miles of the Financial District I can be scrambling along rocky cliffs overlooking the Pacific, cruising along, deep down in wet mossy redwood canopied canyons or sweating over scraggly dry sun scorched hillsides and crossing paths with rattle snakes, bobcats, coyotes, falcons, turkey vultures, California king snakes…..
I enjoy exploring even the most mundane elements of my surrounding and am very happy to step off the beaten path during my travels. That said, I have a long list of more popular destinations to hit. (Not really a list maker but you know what I mean)...It would be nice to find a partner to share all of my future adventures with, and with whom to create my future memories.
