I am funny, thoughtful, and assertive.

My Self-Summary

I am 24, a college graduate with my Bachelor's in English. I am just starting my first term of graduate school in Library and Information Science. Can't WAIT to be a librarian!! =]

I LOVE to read. I spend a lot of my time reading new things. I fully believe in life long learning, and strive to learn something new everyday.

I can be incredibly stubborn, but I've found that this lessens with age =]

I like lemonade in the winter and hot chocolate in the summer :o)

I'm an Oregonian born and raised, and I've grown to love this state more and more every year. I was raised camping every weekend during the summer and hiking with my dad, so the outdoors are a big part of my life =]

And I love to travel, alot. I've been to Italy, England, Germany, France and Portugal.

Oh and also, I am a HUGE Red Sox fan, so if you're rooting for the yankees you should probably pass me by... =] It would never work haha

What I’m doing with my life

Work, school, gym, spending time with friends. That is pretty much my life right now.

I work as a CNA at a care facility in Northeast Portland. While I kind of hate the work I do, I do love the people I've met there. Working with and meeting people of the older generations has enriched my life in ways I never imagined. I am mostly sick of the politics of my job, but looking back I would not change a thing. This job has made me a better person.

I’m really good at

I'm pretty good at being nice. And thinking before I say things =] With the risk of sounding full of myself, I pride myself in being a good friend. I have many good, close friends and I can honestly say I would do anything for them.

I also am pretty witty and funny. I pride myself on being able to make people comfortable with my humor =]

I'm also pretty good at correcting bad grammar. Yeah, I'm kind of a nerd about that.

I'm also awesome at guitar hero. I could probably kick your ass ;o)

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm pretty easy going and not a fan of conflict or drama. I like to make people laugh and be comfortable.

Oh and I have awesome nerd/emo glasses =]

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: On the Road (probably my favorite book ever), The Catcher in the Rye (second fav), The Year of Magical Thinking, Twilight series (okay so these are the only lame, teenage girlish books I like haha), A Wolf at the Table, Dry, I'm Not Scared, The Curious Incident of the Dog and the Nighttime, Middlesex, I Know This Much is True, and five million more :o)

Movies: Crash, Garden State, The Princess Bride, Once, The Breakfast Club, Fight Club, Amelie, The Departed, Life as a House, Life is Beautiful, The Best of Youth, Almost Famous, The Goonies, Stand By Me, No Country For Old Men, etc.

TV: Mostly every HBO series ever made. My favs are: Trueblood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Entourage and Big Love. I also like Law and Order, Top Chef, House, 30 Rock, The Office, Mad Men, Grey's, Ghost Hunters.....

Music: Death Cab, Ingrid Michaelson, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Paramore, Crosstide, Kate Walsh, Quietdrive, Everybody Else, The Juliana Theory, Greg Laswell, Taking Back Sunday, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Kate Nash, Kate Walsh, Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, etc.

Food: Cheddar goldfish and nutella, absolutely nutella.

The six things I could never do without

1. music
2. family
3. friends
4. love
5. books
6. and my cellphone haha

I spend a lot of time thinking about

the future mostly. I often think about the dreams and career I want to achieve.

On a typical Friday night I am

at the gym? haha or hanging out with friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Yes....I'll admit it....I smoke. But please don't let it be a deal breaker! If I met an awesome guy who absolutely hated it, I would quit right then and there. My relationships are more important than the cigs =]

You should message me if

you love to read, love to hang out and watch movies, and love Portland :o)
