A few years ago I never would have been able to answer the question of who I am. I graduated high school in 2002, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in an attempt to find myself. After having to deal with a lot of crap during my enlistment, and spending two years in Iraq I have come up with a better understanding of myself. I am three different people each one is dominant depending on where I am and who I am with. My public, home, and personal life are all parts of who I am. Don’t get me wrong I don’t have multiple personality disorder, in fact I am fairly confident that everyone has at least three aspects to themselves.

My public life is most commonly seen in public, at school, or around people I don’t know very well. I am well dressed, clean shaven, and professional. I make the occasional smart ass comment to get laughs, when at school I get accused of being a teacher all too often.

My home life only comes out when at home, around family, and close friends. I moved back into my parents’ house to more easily put myself through school. I am helping my father add on to the house as a way of paying for my living.

I hate my personal life, so it’s a good thing that I am the only one that knows this part of my life. Unfortunately because it is still a part of my life I have to let it out every now and then. The only thing about my personal life I am comfortable posting on the internet is the fact that I have an uncontrollable need to help people when they are in really messed up situations. That is p part of why I enlisted in the Marines, It is also why I plan on a having a career in the medical field.

I got my EMT certification a year ago I am working part time as an EMT skills instructor while working on my bachelors in emergency medical care.

I am a pretty versatile guy I suppose my various talents can be broken down into a few categories.

Academic:
I get pretty good grades
I enjoy math
I write pretty well

Military:
I am good with a rifle and Okay with a pistol
I know my way around a knife
Some martial arts training

Domestic:
Cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing, sewing,
Every skill you would ever want in a potential wife.

Medical:
I have a few certifications from a few classes most recent and highest scope of practice is EMT.
I also have a few adapt and overcome first aid techniques learned in the military.

Construction:
Landscaping, framing, roofing, concrete, with some gas, roofing and minor plumbing emergency repairs.

I shave my head, so that probably stands out a bit.

Books: Harry Potter, Angels and Demons, Dragon Lance, LoTR. Other than that I don’t really know, I don’t have as much time to read as I would like to.

Movies are hard; there are a lot of good movies out there, and I could spend all day listing all the movies I like. No one would ever read it anyway. There are a few movies that I will watch over and over again and never get tired of them. The kind of movie that I know every line, the ones that I don’t even have to be in the room to know what is happening. Here is my list as of right now I may add to it later.

Willow, The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Radioland murders

My taste in music is pretty broad, I will probably enjoy just about anything from Aqua to ZZ Top. I do have a problem with getting into Rap, R&B, and the like. As a middle class white guy it’s not something I can really relate to. In the last year or so I have started getting into swing and would love to learn to dance, I just don’t have the time for lessons.

Food: uh... Anything with Cheese on it. I will eat just about anything, except for Bananas

Working with students. After that, study group or homework.
