I need to figure out something to say here.

Enjoying it. Trying to make myself better every day.

For work, I tend to tell people I play video games for a living, but it isn't quite as glamorous as that sounds. I work in a cubicle and I work too many hours, but I get to do so in a relaxed environment with some great people.

More personally, I'm trying to be the person I want to be - open, honest, caring, and giving.

Listening. And laughing. I smile a lot.

The red hair tends to be first impression. My giving nature and selfless charm take a little more time to come through.

I try to read a lot, but don't always get to as much as I would like. Recent titles include Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann; Tinkers by Paul Harding; A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace; Between The Assassinations by Aravind Adiga; and, currently, Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson. I'm looking forward to Gary Shteyngart's latest next.

I tend to like a diverse musical selection, but my heart is with Chicago blues. In rotation lately are albums by The Roots, Frederik, Rain Machine, Big Boi, Frazey Ford, and The Low Anthem. If you like NPR and All Songs Considered.....we probably have some common interests.

In SF there is so much good food to enjoy. From sushi to south indian to arguments about one's favorite taqueria.

what to write in my self-summary.

All too often recovering from my week. But always down for a drink (scotch, whiskey or a beer at Monk's Kettle). Looking for good conversation. Hanging with friends.

You wanna take a chance. I'm respectful and decent. I think we'll have fun....and who knows, right?
