Your Notes
Edit your notesI am optimistic, ambitious, and whimsical.
My Self-Summary
I'm a frequently visiting American that has plans to relocate here. Luckily I have a job that brings me here very often. Because I am visiting, I am looking for some cool people to hang out with and enjoy the city.
I am strong yet sensitive, opinionated yet I know how to listen, grounded yet adventurous, slightly stubborn yet I know how to pick my battles, whimsical yet pragmatic. I like to surround myself with people who are equal parts intelligent and goofy with strong character and a good moral compass. I've realized that having strong personality traits isn't always a good thing, unless you maintain a sense of balance. I try to complement my strong traits and find that if I become too much of one, I can always turn up the dial on the other.
I pride myself on the ability to just get things done, rather than spending too much time thinking about the approach. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a deep conversation as much as the next person, but life is too short to waste time musing on abstracts. As a side note, I do most of my best thinking on long car rides and in the shower.
I only surround myself with individuals that I aspire to be more like. The majority of my good friends have strong character and have something to offer life. To sum it up, I love learning from and being pleasantly surprised by others (including my significant other).
I love animals, both cats and dogs, so if you're allergic... that's quite unfortunate.
There are a lot of things I take seriously in life, but I also know how to have fun with everyday situations. I have a strong ambition and motivation for what I want out of life, but I also enjoy stopping to smell the roses from time to time.
What I’m doing with my life
I absolutely love my work and wouldn't trade for anything else in the world. But, if I'm not there you can sometimes find me at the gym or training to be a sudoku grand master. I also know wayyyy more than anyone one person should about the deep, dark details of C++, which I try to offset by being an avid guitarist.
I race cars, ride motorcycles and fly airplanes... and find that this helps offset my day job as a software engineer.
I have a flexible job and a very eclectic set of hobbies, so I am able to keep very busy. I've worked diligently to get where I'm at so now I'm slowing down a bit to enjoy life.
I’m really good at
Beyond that, I'm quite good at guitar shredding, sudoku, taking long showers, solving a rubik's cube while carrying on a conversation and running extremely long distances.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Think and Grow Rich (classic), Freakonomics, Predictably Irrational...
Food: I love everything, but particularly anything Italian or green. I have very healthy eating habits...
Movies: Top Gun (of course), The Big Lebowski, etc.. I prefer dark or awkward comedies, horror films and the occasional feel-good, happy-ending film.
TV shows: I'm watching Prison Break right now -- and absolutely hooked. Otherwise: Seinfeld, The Office, etc.
