I always find that "about me" sections come off rehearsed and clumsy. After all, we are trying to "sell" our best selves. No matter how genuine and attractive, as you attempt to make them, they either come off pretentious or awkward or, some how lacking and clunky or, even worse, just like everyone else's profile

With that considered, "this" is me.... I don't know how "this" works. I am from a time where a boy looked at a girl a particular way and she smiled back and, he asked her on a date. The electronic age has changed all that. It has taken away the initial "glimpse and flirt" and replaced it with a profile summary and a few obscure profile pictures. I'm not looking for just anyone. I've done the dating "thing" and would much rather find someone that we could happily and quietly enjoy life with.

I am actually a very happy person looking to be "happy" with someone else. I am pretty down to earth and love just having fun. I love the outdoors, hiking , camping, fishing, biking and am game to try anything new, at least once. I enjoy intellectual conversations and sometimes, pointless banter. I like sappy love songs and classic rock. I cry when I watch pampers commercials (not really)and subscribe to the notion that "when in the hallmark aisle, the card that makes you laugh out loud, is the card you must buy".

I'm always doing something. These days , work keeps me busy and so do my two teenaged boys. I am relatively happy with my career and find that it has become something that provides me the ability to enjoy life when I'm not there. What I'm "doing" with my life? I'm living today because, you're not promised tomorrows

-being sweet, sincere, sassy and sarcastic all at the same time.

-getting my way... Yeh right, I've got children...I will never get my own way again!

-being a wealth of useless knowledge

-Googling

I suppose my smile...yikes , how cliche! How about that I tend to be outgoing (not overly so) , a little demure and a little sassy...all wrapped into one? I don't wear "myself" on my sleeve though. I am, a bit of an enigma, so I've been told.

Food- I enjoy "good" food. I'd rather small portions and great food than the opposite. I enjoy burgers (yeh, sometimes),sushi , a well made paella and everything in between. I'm as versatile as they get, just no"fast food" please...

Music- as versatile as my food likes. I love alternative, punk, pop, some country, classic rock...beatles, The Who, Leonard Cohen, Clapton, Dropkick Murphys, Stones, Cash & Clash, Coldplay, Jason Mraz, Pearl Jam,Chili Peppers, John Mayer,Genesis, Dylan, Black Keys, Nirvana, Foster the people, ....

Whether it's going to rain this weekend and ruin, yet another weekend of riding my bike!

It all depends on if my boys are home with me or not. If they are here, we'll order in pizza, watch a good movie, go for a nice bike ride...who knows!

If they're not here, I may not be either. I could be at my girlfriends, visiting family or just hanging by myself ordering in japanese and reading a good book

I'm willing to admit most things...to the right person just not the general public
