I am optimistic, reliable, and compassionate.

My Self-Summary

I'm a lapsed grad student in computer science who came out for an internship in Seattle and forgot to go back to school. One of the these days, maybe...

I love my job but don't have programming as a hobby -- I'd much rather be doing something outdoors. Except a brief and undistinguished stint on the tennis team in high school, I've never been too much for organized sports, but I like almost anything else: cycling, hiking/backpacking in the Whites (now Cascades and Olympics, in Seattle), running, sailing, SCUBA diving, skiing...really anything that's more about aerobic conditioning than hand-eye coordination. ;) Since I've been in Seattle, I've spent a lot of time upside-down in Lake Union learning to sea kayak...

I've moved around a lot in the past few years. I left New York City (where I grew up) for college in LA, then I spent a year working in DC and a fantastic year doing research in Paris before coming to Boston for grad school. I speak decent French and want to learn another language--speaking to people in their native tongue is a thrill. I'm a voracious reader (currently, _Atlas Shrugged_) and a pretty decent amateur photographer.

What I’m doing with my life

Inventing the future. ;)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

These days? My masters thesis (done!), keeping up my French, planning a long bike trip...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am to bicycles and bicycle parts as Imelda Marcos is to shoes. Seriously, it's kind of embarrassing.

You should message me if

If there's something you're good at and passionate about.

If doing the Seattle to Portland ride on a tandem sounds like fun.
