I value courage more than anything else. Without courage, you miss out on a lot.

I try to write a haiku a day.

I'm proud to be one part Milwaukee and one part San Francisco.

All of my favorite people ask good questions of themselves and others. I think it’s a pretty hot quality.

I've done tsunami recovery work in Thailand, studied revolutionaries in Guatemala, worked on a fruit stand in Australia, trained women activists in Haiti, danced in the streets of Mumbai during Holi, and yet, I still love being at home in SF.

I bike everywhere and try to go hiking nearly every weekend. Roaming around our amazing city makes me smile.

I've spent 3 hours at a single museum exhibit because it was that good. I was one of the first employees on Barack Obama's first presidential campaign. One time I joined a parade because they looked like they were having so much fun; I was six but it could have been six days ago.

I love great art in all forms.

Crafting it to invite impact, community, and inspiration while granting unexpected diversions the power to surprise me.

Specifically- running my own political consulting and organizing firm which I started a year ago, teaching a class on organizing to graduate students, finishing a Master's in Literature and Creative Writing, enjoying the greatest group of friends and close family you can imagine.

Connecting with people I adore. Eating and drinking well. Enjoying art. Outside or inside.
