My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Okay here's the thing I had to put a zip code into this thing to sign up, and when I'm in the US I do live in Pleasanton, but for at least the next 8 months I'll be teaching English in China. I'm really sorry if this is wasting anyone's time reading this, but it was fill out an OK Cupid profile or go out for a long walk when it was about 0 degrees outside, and I'm pretty sure that seeing as the river was frozen solid yesterday it was going to be the same again today.
I filled out a profile for this, because I was curious as to what type of women the site would say were a good match for me, and just about everyone seems to have been way too good for the likes of me. Just between you and me, has some space disease wiped out the male gender in the Bay Area in the last four months? I'm asking because just about every profile I read seemed to be for a really great person. Anyway, I said I was sorry for wasting your time if you are looking for somebody to have a cup of coffee with in the next fiscal year, right? Good, moving on.
So, aside from that, I'm in a really great place in my life right now. I like my job, I like the people i work with, I'm living in a fascinating new city, and if the occasional person thinks I'm a jerk,I usually can't understand a word coming out of their mouths. Look, I'm not saying it's heaven, just as close as I've gotten so far in my life.
Anyway hope life is treating you right, and that you find what you are looking for on here.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm teaching English at a small school in China right now. It's amazing and fulfilling, and I'm having a blast getting to learn about a new culture. This is one of the best things I've ever done in my life, and that includes the year when my New Year's resolution was to buy more porn (sometimes succeeding at your resolution is more important than actually improving the quality of your life.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am a font of useless information, and excel at taking out the garbage.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not entirely sure, but Io hear some nice things about my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I love books, and reading in general (I've read the backs of cereal boxes for entertainment more than once) I can always find time for a mystery. I can always find time to read Raymond Chandler, James Elroy, and Elmore Leonard When it comes to science fiction, I really enjoy William Gibson, and Neal Stephenson. I like The Game of Thrones series, but I really don't like waiting for new books. And Cyrano De Bergerac is my favorite play to read.
Movies: I love going to the movies, and if I have the time will sit down to watch movies I've seen before. The top five movies, that I always seem to watch at least once a year are in no particular order, The Usual Suspects, Goodfellas, Fight Club, Sixteen Candles, and Raising Arizona ("Does he need his diptep?") I'm not going to lie, I have a real soft spot for the movie Conan the Barbarian, if for no other reason than a former governor of my state decapitates James Earl Jones. Oh and when James Earl Jones is getting his head cut off? He has the same hair style as Jan Brady. They don't make them like that any more.
TV: I'm not watching a whole lot of TV right now, not because I'm too smart for it, but mainly because I'm out of the country. I really like Person of Interest, and my favorite comedies on right now are Parks and Recreation, and Archer.
Music: I've been listening to a lot of old school country and western lately. which hopefully balances out all the Korean pop music I hear walking around town every day I also have always loved the blues.
Food: I love food. I've been eating a lot of Chinese food lately, but I also greatly enjoy Mexican, and Indian food. When eating at home a pot roast can bring me to tears.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
MY family, my computer, mainly so I can stay in touch with my family, and after that just about everything else is optional
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at work until about 9:00. I come home, have something to eat, and go over lesson plans for the weekend. If I'm sitting on some extra energy I'll watch a movie or some TV online. The fun just never stops
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My thought process is a bit of a mess and doesn't lend itself to deep thoughts.for example one time I was in my car and looked at and saw one of those boxes with newspapers in it. There was a picture of an elephant on the front page. Here are my thoughts in the exact order they occurred.

Hey, that's an elephant
The A's sometimes used an elephant as a mascot for the team back in the 1980's.
Elephants like peanuts.
I like peanuts.
I really need to buy some peanuts.

It was at that exact moment my girlfriend at the time asked me what I was thinking. I said "nothing." I still think that was the right call.
