I've been in Tucson just over a year now, and I know maybe five people. Ok, six, but only one or two I would count among real friends. Given that I've spent the last few years working in a male-dominated industry, my ability to meet and get to know women has been severely limited. So, if you're interested in meeting a cool guy who's just as interested in your mind as anything else, here I am!

Living it NOW. Creating the reality I want and enjoying it even when it's not perfect.

Fixing stuff. Figuring out the 'why' as much as the 'what', both in myself and in others. Listening. Keeping perspective, even when things seem way out of hand. Making really loud, exciting noises with an electric guitar. Building teams out of eclectic personalities. Getting a joke in sideways when no one is expecting it. Listening to my gut, but tempering it with actual thought and not just an emotional response.

You tell me what you notice. I don't really know what most people notice about me first.

I read an awful lot of non-fiction. If it's not that, it's R.A. Heinlein, (Stranger in a Strange Land, Starship Troopers, Time enough for Love, etc. and always adding more), The Dark Tower series was pretty good, though I need to get caught up. TV wise, it's almost all documentaries. I'm something of a Firefly fan, I got sucked in to Game of Thrones, and I watch Sons of Anarchy because it reminds me of the people I grew up around. Oh, and I am almost an authority on South Park, though my son is far more interested in it than I am these days. Musically, I'm game for almost anything with a guitar in it -- unless it's mainstream country, which is just bubblegum pop crap for the 30-something set. My internet radio mix channels run from classical guitar to black metal, and everything in-between.

You never really know how much you can do without until you have to do without it. I've seen both ends of the spectrum and I know for fact that humans can tolerate doing without a whole lot less than even the average poor American has.

How I can make my life exactly what I want it to be... What I really want it to be after all. (I thought I knew once and I was WAY wrong) Philosophical concepts that religious thinkers would never dare pursue. How best to cause vibrations in the quantum field that reflect my needs and desires.

Whooping my kid on the Xbox or reading something nearly impenetrable. Unless I'm going to a metal show, though that's usually Saturday night.

Ummm, if I admitted something private it would no longer be private. Get to know me and I'll be happy to share -- for people inside the inner circle, I am a completely open book. Well, almost.

You're interested in a guy that shoots straight. I'm not here to play games with people.

You can entertain a thought without embracing it.
