I live on the upper west side (well just moved to Brooklyn (temporary) after 4 years on UWS), I am a writer, (short films) as well as a freelance writer for a few pop culture magazines. Moved to NYC 4 years ago, from the Hudson Valley. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pa. Just a small town girl, living her dream to live in NYC.

Living in one of the most greatest cities but the most complex cities in the world. Trying to meet NYC half way. It certainly can kick your ass in a ny minute, but just around the corner, dreams are made. I know this and am willing to meet everything this city has to offer half way. I don't expect good things to just happen, I know I have to help in the process here with a relationship, my career, working hard to pay my outrageous rent to live here. This city is not for the weak or weary, you can get chewed up and spit out in a minute. I have found that if I just go the distance, this city and I can get along. So what am I doing with my life? Letting my shoes hit the pavement and not tip toeing. As well as, trying to strive through all the Bullshit here in NYC, at times it seems like a full time job..ha

I often try to follow some simple guide lines that I have found useful.

My Life, Your Life:

This is your life, do what you love and do it often. If you don't like something, change it. If you don't like your job Quit! If you don't have enough time, stop watching t.v. If you're looking for the love of your life, Stop. They will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing. Life is simple. All emotions are beautiful, When you eat, appreciate every last bite.
Open your mind, arms and heart to new things and people. We are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see, what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them. Travel often. Getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, seize them. Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them. So go out and start creating. Live your dream and share your passion. Life is short. :)

Television:
The only thing I will even think about watching on tv is Family Guy, I think it's the closest thing we have to real reality tv ...:)

Reading:

Friday night is amateur night in NYC, so I usually like to have friends over for some good food, good music, good wine and down right fun. :)
