I enjoy walking through various seemingly unrelated worlds and trying to weave them together. I've become a fan of the word "juxtaposition."

To begin, I'm happily married, though it's an open relationship and everything is on the up-and-up. However, most people would never guess the "open" part.

Continuing along this theme of contrasts, my accent is a total mashup, and people can never guess where I'm from. In the past year I've been to Burning Man and visited military bases. I like intensity and am drawn to elements of the alternative scene, but often wear a suit to work. The list goes on.

I'm funny, passionate, dedicated, irreverent, and creative. People call me unique, and I think it's mostly used as a compliment.

I'm well traveled and travel a lot for work. My emotional baggage is of the carry-on, as opposed to check-in, variety.

I'm a published author. I spend my days, um, writing. I also work on a couple of initiatives with the government and volunteer my time advising nonprofits. I've never held a standard 9-5 job, and I think I'm happier as a result.

Music: The Smiths, The Cure, Passion Pit, period baroque, and lately music from my DJ friends.

Movies: Harold and Maude is my favorite movie.

Food: Healthy, organic, ethnic, vegetarian, you get the picture.
